Fall 2009 UT Houston BSN Applicants

Hey everyone! I applied to UT houston and I'm waiting to hear if I got an interview. Applicants for years in the past started threads that everyone went to and kept everyone updated on information from the school, and it's nice to hear from possible (fingers crossed) other future classmates. If you don't mind, I'd also like to post our application info: GPA (science and overall), NET scores and experience.

My stats:

Overall GPA: 3.93

Science GPA: 3.75 (I think- UT link is down today :wink2:

NET: composite score was 88% (96 percentile)

I'm currently employed as a CNA in a hospital (only have about a month experience so far)

Hello everyone! does anyone know the list of books we need to purchase for the BSN generic Fall 09 program yet? I was wanting to get a head start on purchasing the books because other posts from accepted students in the fall 08 program said there were about 22 books to purchase and the cost was around $1300! Plus I think it's a good idea to start reading early as well.

I have submitted to be added to UT SON class of 2010 on FB and haven't been accepted. What else do I need to do?

I added you to the FB group when you submitted a request and you are showing up on the group list...I don't know why it isn't showing up on your page.

I received an interview letter last week. My interview is on Feb. 4th. I submitted my application pretty early though and my last name starts with B so that may have something to do with it.

WHat is the dress code for this interview( casual/ formal)? Mine is on Monday for spring '10... I am so nervous and excited!

I took COSC class. They were for a Certificate of Office Assitant and UT took those classes as my electives

I am thinking of applying to the accelerated program very soon. However, I had a very low GPA from my previous BS degree in chemistry. I am almost done with some of the prerequites, and I 've been doing very well, about 3.7 GPA. If anyone know if my previous grade from my Bs will affect my acceptance. I am worry.

I am looking at nursing career again and 2007 and 2008 I applied to UTH SON and got to the interview stage each time I applied but no lucy of getting in. I am deciding to reapply this time again but I will be applying towards the fast track BSN PROGRAM since I have a four year degree. I was wondering would they still take my old NET score into consideration or I have to take this new HESI A2 TEST they have now. I know I was so close back then because I got interview now I don't think my chances are good since there this new HESI A2 exam. Is the HESI TEST the same as the NET test..anyone who have taken both ..can you please let me know. Thanks and hopefully someone can give me good advise if i should retake any courses as well.
