Hey everyone! I applied to UT houston and I'm waiting to hear if I got an interview. Applicants for years in the past started threads that everyone went to and kept everyone updated on information from the school, and it's nice to hear from possible (fingers crossed) other future classmates. If you don't mind, I'd also like to post our application info: GPA (science and overall), NET scores and experience.
My stats:
Overall GPA: 3.93
Science GPA: 3.75 (I think- UT link is down today :wink2:
NET: composite score was 88% (96 percentile)
I'm currently employed as a CNA in a hospital (only have about a month experience so far)
Goodluck and hopefully I get some replies!

Hey guys i got a quick question. At the moment im attending North Harris community college, i wanted to apply for UT houston. They want 5 credit hours of Electives and 3 credit hours of visual or performing arts. I just signed up for COSC 1401 (Microcomputer Applications {4 credit hours}). And for the Arts i signed up for Art 1301 (Art Appreciation {3 credit hours}).
Now my question is, when i looked at the Prereq's required for Basic BSN it said you need to take electives which are academic courses only. So will my COSC 1401 work as an elective for UT Houston or not? What did you guys take as your electives and Arts?
Any help will be appreciated,
Thanks
Robbie
i suggest you shoot them an email concerning this matter. [email protected]
Thanks for the email address. I have emailed them on several occasions and called them as well, but no reply so far....im still waiting. Anyways, what electives and arts did you take? Any one else wants to shed some light on this matter. I want to sign up for my classes asap for the FALL semester.
Thanks for the quick reply,
Robbie
i just signed up for cosc 1401 (microcomputer applications, 4 credits) and arts 1301 (art appreciation, 3 credit). the ut, houston check off list says that i need 5 credit hours of electives; well, cosc 1401 takes care of 4 credit hours ( that is if it is transferable?), so what would be a good class/es for additional electives that i need?

unless you are really good at math take something else (to boost your gpa). i am taking math1314 now and it is counted as an elective (statistics fills the math requirement) i only took 1314 to finish my associates degree but now i wish i would have taken something fun, like genetics
