Hey everyone! I applied to UT houston and I'm waiting to hear if I got an interview. Applicants for years in the past started threads that everyone went to and kept everyone updated on information from the school, and it's nice to hear from possible (fingers crossed) other future classmates. If you don't mind, I'd also like to post our application info: GPA (science and overall), NET scores and experience.
My stats:
Overall GPA: 3.93
Science GPA: 3.75 (I think- UT link is down today :wink2:
NET: composite score was 88% (96 percentile)
I'm currently employed as a CNA in a hospital (only have about a month experience so far)
hey guys i have my interview on thursday feb 19th and i was wondering on how yall's interviews went? for the one page resume is it just like a work resume tailored towards bsn? im kind of confused as to that.... nervous about my interview :S
That's what I did- I couldnt fit all of my work experience on a one page resume so it was two. I hope it's O.K. but I thought the one page thing may be geared more towards those who are just out of school w/o alot of work experience. I don't have alot of healthcare experience though so it was all my experience but I made sure to list my school info and any healthcare that I had. Hope this helps!
Just from reskimming the posts on here it looks like Feb. 19th is the furthest out they have scheduled interviews so far. Does anyone else have an interview after this date? I'm trying to determine when they are finished with interviews and will hopefully begin processing their choices! I know- it's sad!

I just applied for the Generic BSN program at UT houston for Fall 2009. Alot of people on here have gotten interviews, is that for the generic or acclerated program? I'm nervous now! I was fairly comfortable with my GPA and NET test. Now I'm worried. Any feedback???
I believe they started interviewing for BSN accelerated before BSN generic. So maybe end of Jan into beginning to mid Feb for accelerated. I interviewed for BSN generic on the 4th of this month and they are still having interviews, the latest anyone has posted on here is the 19th of this month, but they could go much longer since they told us not to expect a decision until end of March or beginning of April....
And they have contacted you for an interview by now? If you don't mind me asking what is your gpa and net test scores? I just wonder if something is wrong with my application status so I should call and find out.
Mine is at the beginning of the thread so I don't think you were asking me :) What does your status say on UT link? Mine shows pending awaiting committe decision. What does yours show?
What does it say for your tsi exempt part of your utlink? I was told they get that information later. Ill have to call because something doesn't seem right to me. I'm so nervous now.
Hmm.. I don't remember I'd have to look and unfortunately I can't access UT Link this late, I'll check it tomorrow and post it for you. If you are really concerned about it, maybe you should call- I don't think they would mind to tell you if they are still sending out interview letters.
