I would say your ok for the most part with those grades, but it is a competitive program to get into. You can take the HESI again for a higher overall grade, it is the same test each time. Study and do well on the three prereq classes as well.
Being partnered only matters for the AP BSN program and not the traditional. Most of the posts here are in reference to the AP BSN or RN-BSN online programs.
You might get waitlisted, don't be discouraged by this, there are a lot of good people like yourself trying to get in. Keep working and keep applying and you will get in.
American History I is a very heavy workload. I actually, decided to take the second part later after the RN courses. Crazy! But, really interesting.
I am in my second semester at UTA in the RN-BSN program. My school was "partnered" I guess. It's no walk in the park but I am really happy with the school. It runs very well.
When I applied the first time for UTA, I had a 3.5 Science, 3.76 overall and 91 HESI and wasn't accepted. You are ranked against students who took 30 semester hours and receive bonus points for that. It is very competitive. Though I have bumped up my science to 3.75, I am not holding my breath and applied to multiple schools. Regardless... don't give up. Good luck!
What other school did you apply for nursinghopeful817 ? I also applied to TCU n UT Tyler . What semester did u apply to spring or fall. I can retake courses to bump my gpa up I just hate to retake courses all over
Hello. I applied here, TCU, El Centro which allows a bridge to UTA, and Northlake.
I applied to the online and on-campus programs.
I have a 4.0 science, 3.6 overall, 96 HESI
Previous Bachelor's & 30 hrs @ uta
Not partnered
I have taken Intro to Nursing. It was easy. I'm taking Pharm now. My average is a 99 after the first exam, but the material for the second exam looks brutal.
Good luck to all of you [and me (:]

I was just accepted to UTA as a student and just filled out the application for the traditional BSN program. I'm kind of worried that my stats might not be so great and wanted to see if anyone else has applied?
3.5 Science GPA
3.66 Overall
92 HESI
I am not partnered and I hadn't heard about that before I was on this site. I work full time in a non healthcare field.
I still need to take the three prerequisite classes (Pharmacology, Pathophysiologic Processes, Intro to Professional Nursing) at UTA, as well as Technical Writing, American History I, Texas Government, and College Algebra which should raise my overall GPA.
Any advice/ anyone else applying for Fall 2014?
