Fall 2018 Tarrant County College ADN program

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hey guys 💜 just wanted to open a thread for Fall 2018 applicants at Tarrant County College ADN program! I know application cycle isn't open for about another month but I saw a few comments on the Spring 17 thread and thought we could have our own thread already!

I'm applying with the following:

A&P I: B

A&P II: A

Micro: A

HESI: 94.5

I can't wait to "meet" some of you on here and I've got my fingers crossed for all of us!

Went and turned my application in today. I was the 120th applicant. That seems kinda low but hey I'm not complaining.

120th? That's great bc they take 180. I will go tomorrow.

I'm bringing mine next week. Have a few more things to do! :)

Hello Everyone!! My name is Ashley. I was reading through some of you guys scores and oh my gosh y'all have good grades! Makes me kinda nervous! Anywho, my grades are:

A&P I - B

A&P II - A

Micro - A

Hesi - 91.5

I have also applied to Radiology and Respiratory as my back up options and received an email today saying I was a top candidate for Radiology and to attend a mandatory meeting next Thursday. Did anyone else apply to other programs? Hopefully we all get in to nursing!

I read an awesome tip from someone in TCC nursing school who said to take classes that will apply to your BSN while you can so I've been taking a few while I wait to start the nursing program! (If I'm accepted!)

I was wondering where you do your clinicals at? Do you get experience in different areas of nursing?

120th? That's great bc they take 180. I will go tomorrow.

I know last two semester it's only been 150. I was an alternate last semester. But still 120 applicants at the moment with 150 spots ia still very promising. They do still have 4 more HESI test dates so I'm guessing there may be more applicants after these test dates.

Wow that does seem low when normally there is 400-600. I can't imagine there would be another 300 applications submitted in the next week and a half but you never know. I'm curious as to how many applications have been submitted for the fast track so far. They only take 20!

Just turned my application in today! So super nervous! My stats are:

A&P 1: A

A&P 2: A

micro: A

HESI: 88

Anyone know if we have to go to the information sessions or whether or not it's helpful? Is there any info I will get there that I don't already know??

I still have to get my TB test and an MMR booster as well as the passport photo. Doing all of that tomorrow and I'm retaking my HESI next week hoping to raise my score a few points.

It is NOT a requirement. They will go over the same stuff that's online and answer any questions you have!

Just dropped my application off. I am applicant 141. So since yesterday more than 20 have submitted their app
