Fall 2018 Tarrant County College ADN program

Published

Hey guys 💜 just wanted to open a thread for Fall 2018 applicants at Tarrant County College ADN program! I know application cycle isn't open for about another month but I saw a few comments on the Spring 17 thread and thought we could have our own thread already!

I'm applying with the following:

A&P I: B

A&P II: A

Micro: A

HESI: 94.5

I can't wait to "meet" some of you on here and I've got my fingers crossed for all of us!

Thank you so much!! I'm so glad I found this thread... it can be lonely when the people around you don't understand the competiveness to get in lol. I really think we have a good shot too!

Does anyone know when the fast track applicants will be notified of admission Statius?

I don't know but from what other classes have said it sounds like fast track will find out before regular track. My guess is the end of this week (Friday) or next Friday (20th). I'm not sure if it's because I'm hopeful but I just have a feeling it will be this week or next. Did you apply for fast track track?

Hello all,

I'm an LVN and I applied for the fast track as well. I also applied to Texas A&M Corpus Christi, so I'm awaiting a reply from them hopefully by the end of next week to. My desire is to get in at TAMUCC so I do not have to quit my job as a high school nurse. So we'll see how it goes. Good luck to everyone!

Did you apply for their eLine option? I hope you get in to one of them! It's great to apply to more than one program. Good luck to you as well!

Yes I did. I hear it's a great program and they have established relationships with hospitals in the DFW metroplex.

I did not, but I just wanted to know if there were any delays since I haven't heard anything. Looks like they are on time.

I hope they are on time and fast track hears this week or next and reg track no later than the 29th! As soon as I hear anything I'll let you all know.

Hey guys!!

I am a current nursing student at TCC. I am graduating in 27 days!!!!!! I just wanted to wish you all luck and you let you know that it is a wonderful program. It is stressful but totally manageable.

A few tips:

get a PCT job after your first semester. It helps when it comes time for GN interviews and helps seeing the action first hand

Breathe and take it one day at a time

They will tell you that you cant have a personal life anymore but that is not true. It just takes a commitment and its a balancing act. lol

During boot camp you will have the opportunity to select a mentor, I would consider it!

Have fun and remember it all will be worth it!!!

Specializes in Mother/Baby.

ERiding! I remember your name from going through the previous threads here! Thank you for your well wishes! I'm always so glad when the current students come in for advice!

I have a random question? Do you guys ever get to go to clinical in OR? Since that's where I've been working, it's my big interest for after school.

It depends on your hospital location but I went to the ER & OR at JPS in my adult semester.

Was hoping to wake up to an email this morning. Guess itll be next week for us. I cant take it nemore. Lol. Do you know if they usually send that type of email before sending out acceptance/denial letters? Ive never read that on here.
