Fall 2020 Mountain View Nursing Program Applicants

Published

Hey Everyone!

I wanted to start a new thread for Fall 2020 applicants at Mountain View, since I didn't find one already here. Let's see if we can help eachother out and answer some questions for eachother. Currently, I have 35 points, but will be applying with about 40, I believe. I'm wondering if that is competitive? Also, I need to get my physical, titers, and vaccines, but don't have health insurance. Any ideas where I can get them done at a decent price? I found a website but I am not sure if they will accept stuff from there....

Specializes in MA.

Yes thank you! You are a life saver.

You're very welcome! Good luck! ?

Has anyone heard anything yet? Last semester they sent out confirmation emails with how many applied a couple days after turn in deadline.

I have the timeline saved on my phone but I remember them responding very quickly last semester. My application was deemed incomplete because I had the wrong CPR. This time she said my application looked good. I'm praying everyday because I was unable to meet the deadline for El Centro. I did not realize I had to submit my stuff to Castle Bridge an month early.

So you haven’t heard anything from Mountain View yet either? Let me know when you do! I keep checking my email like a crazy person lol. I applied last semester also, but they never said I was missing anything so maybe it was just my points. What CPR did you have?

No I haven’t heard. I’ll keep you posted. I took a BLS CPR class at Mountain View they said it wasn’t through the AHA. So this time around I went to the Website and found a class that was. If you don’t mind me asking how many points did you have? I think I have 17. I have my associates of science and mostly all prerequisites for a Bachelor program but my grades aren’t too hot.

this time around Ms. Drake said I have 19 points. Are you including points for physical education? Last semester PE did not count for any points but was still required. This year she gave me 3 points for it. I had to retake psychology and I’m retaking pharm right now to better my chances. My grades weren’t the best either.

So for the HESI points is it overall score? Or is it each section?

Hesi I believe you need at least 70 in each section and then your composite score should be 70 or higher as well.

I meant like when you are counting your points for the program, do you count overall score or individual section haha. Because hesi points don’t look that big towards the program.

Oh okay sorry. It is for the overall score. Not many points provided for passing the Hesi.
