Fall 2020 Mountain View Nursing Program Applicants

Published

Hey Everyone!

I wanted to start a new thread for Fall 2020 applicants at Mountain View, since I didn't find one already here. Let's see if we can help eachother out and answer some questions for eachother. Currently, I have 35 points, but will be applying with about 40, I believe. I'm wondering if that is competitive? Also, I need to get my physical, titers, and vaccines, but don't have health insurance. Any ideas where I can get them done at a decent price? I found a website but I am not sure if they will accept stuff from there....

I just got in to MVC spring 2020 and Brookhaven but I chose MVC. I had 17 points when I applied to MVC and 28.60 to Brookhaven. Be sure you have as many prerequisites done as you can, it will help with points. Try to apply to Texas Tech El Paso CENP program also. This will help when they look at your application because they will ask for your plans after ADN if you go straight to BSN. Good luck!

Do u know if physical education is worth up to 3 points? I’m trying to calculate mine?. I applied last semester and didn’t get in. I’ve been trying to find a ranking form to include in my app at mac like Brookhaven’s but it looks just like they don’t use one.

Hey guys, I'm so glad I found this forum. I will also be applying to MVC for fall 2020. My question is, when you submitted your shot records. Did they all have a doctor or representative signature on it. I have my shot records from Dept of health but they just sent a copy but no signatures. Do yall know if that's acceptable. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Go back and see if you can get signatures, just to be on the safe side.

Okay thank you! I will!

Also how many points do everyone have? I have 19 but not sure if that will be enough since it's so competitive.

Unfortunately, I won't be applying for Mountain View because i don't have my algebra ready (just brookhaven and el centro) but from past forums I've seen, the least I saw get in was between 13-15 so 19 points sounds pretty good.

Awww okay, well good luck to you! I'm also applying to El Centro. Praying we all get in, in our desired program. Also Thank you for the info?

Hey guys, Did you all fill out the Immunization form yourself or did your provider fill it out. The doctor I have now is not who administered the shot, and I moved here from another state. So no way to get it filled out. But I do have all the document proof of shots. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Yes that form???

Okay yeah I was about to get my Doctors office to fill it out. But it would have taking a day or 2 for them to complete it, and I didnt have time to wait. So I contacted Mrs. Self-drake and she said you can fill it out yourself, u just have to have documentation and proof of all immunizations. She said it doesn't have to be filled out by the provider. Hope this helps
