Fall 2018 Miami Dade College

Updated:   Published

Starting this thread for anyone that have questions or concerns about the 2018 fall nursing program at Miami Dade College. I have a 4.0 science gpa and studying to take the hesi by the end of February. I also plan on applying for the generic full time as well as the accelerated program because I'm not sure which one I want yet. I already have a bachelors from FIU and I literally started all the prerequisites the summer of 2017. If anywho took those sequences can you please share your stories? Pro and con.. And also what is the hesi like!

Hello everyone! I am just finishing up the Accelerated program at the medical campus. If you need any advice, feel free to write me. I am selling some of my books, they all are new. I have books for MedSurg, Community, Saunders, Leadership and also the required black bag.

Hi guys hope everyone is doing good and got accepted into the program. Anyways, the reason why i am writing this is because i have a couple of books that are used in the program for sale. I finished the program on May of this year. I have the Med Surg textbook 13th edition. It is used in 2nd semester and 4th semester. It is volume 1 and 2 (you need both of them for the class). The books are in good condition and there are only a few pages highlighted. Nothing too bad. If anyone is interested i also have the pharmacology textbook but it is the 8th edition. I don't know if that is the one they are still using.

Is this thread still active?

Are you in the nursing program?

I finished this past may

Hey I know this thread is super old. But did you get in MDC?

Hi did you get accepted?

Hi sorry for bothering you. Did you get accepted to MDC?

Hello

Do you guys think I have a chance to get in if my gpa is 3.2 and my hesi score is 75.

Hi Cyn09, can you kindly tell me your stats in getting into the AO program? It seems that it may be easier to get into since fewer people apply?

I'm finishing up prereqs this semester and taking the final prereqs in spring while studying for the HESI. I plan on applying to the AO program. I'm aware you can only take classes at the Medical campus.... how did you like the program?

Thank you! And congratulations!

Are you continuing to the RN to BSN at MDC now? In hindsight do you think it was better to do the generic than the AO program?
