Fall 2018 Miami Dade College

Starting this thread for anyone that have questions or concerns about the 2018 fall nursing program at Miami Dade College. I have a 4.0 science gpa and studying to take the hesi by the end of February. I also plan on applying for the generic full time as well as the accelerated program because I'm not sure which one I want yet. I already have a bachelors from FIU and I literally started all the prerequisites the summer of 2017. If anywho took those sequences can you please share your stories? Pro and con.. And also what is the hesi like!

Im in the same boat! I only studied for 2days smh. I got a 73 hesi and 3.1 gpa. Just terrible lol Applied for AO. I've been praying! Let's stay positive, We all will make it!!! This is only the beginning of our nursing journey. Hope to see all of u on the other side!

Good evening guys;

Does anyone know about the uniforms?

I wonder if I can get my own scrubs upon acceptances and then send it to be stamped with MDC medical campus logo... do you guys think that would be a possibility?

or I have strictly to get them from:

-. The book store

-. The uniform store right across MDC medical campus.

Amazon has good scrubs deal.

I think you can get them from anywhere as long as it's the same color and has the logo but don't quote me on that let's see if someone else answers

I'm trying not to think about the waiting process :/ but yes stay positive! I have a 3.2 and made 88.4 on Hesi. I applied to Generic and AO program.. I'm also in the process of renewing my BSL with Red Cross.. good luck to everyone and have faith in your process.

She got accepted for spring 2018. She was also struggling as she told me that the first semester was very hard for her, but that's another subject.

I have no idea, lol. But if the scrubs across the street are cheaper, then, why not get them for there. we need someone else to answer.

Seems that your CS is 85 which is a decent score. let's keep positive. Hopefully, we all can make it into the program.

I keep checking the date over and over and only a few days have passed and I just want to know already!

I know of someone who got her uniforms custom made and added the logo. I'm just not sure where you might get the logo.

Also one perso told me they got in with a 2. Something and a 70 something on the Hesi so dont be discouraged.

I'm constantly checking too lol. I can't wait until the wait is over, I think I developed anxiety waiting so long hahaha

I've also heard that u can buy your own uniforms as long as they're the same color and has the logo. There's a uniform store across the street from the medical campus, next to a Chinese restaurant that sells them...

That is very encouraging lol Do you know if that person got in for the fall or spring? I heard it all depends on the applicant pool.

Hello Sweetjun, I have applied for both Generic Full and part tie program as I was advised to do it in case I wasn't able to make it into one group, but personally, the more I read the more doubts I have about having applied for the part time option. Idk. Hopefully, they called me for the full time option first.
