1. My class starts after Labor day the school is Central School of Practical Nursing in VA
2. 18 months
3. I decided on LPN because the program hours works best with my family life, I can finish in 18 months and I would like to work in hospice, doctors office or outpatient surgery center. Plus, I have a 2.42 GPA from the first time I went to college that prevents me from being competitive to get into a RN/ASN/BSN school. I am still working on my science pre-requisites in preparation of a bridge program if I want to continue in the future.
4. My program is about $10,000 total start to finish
5. 866.5 lecture / 655.5 clinical

1) Start: September 4th Morris County Vo-Tech NJ
2) Ends July 24th
3) I'm becoming an LPN because: (1) It's my plan b just in case I don't get into the BSN program at Rutgers I should find out between today and tomorrow (2) It will allow me to work and finish up school I grad May 2014 with my BSW I will be completing the LPN program at the same time and then will go on to apply for the accelerated program. It will give me he much needed experience while allowing me to work and support my family at the same time.
4) Program cost: the program will cost me about 10,000 because I am an out of county student
5) I'm unsure of the number of lecture/clinical hours but the clincials start the third week of October

I received my acceptance letter for the LPN program starting in Sept. 2013 at the Tennessee College of Applied Technologies.
Attending the night program which is 16 months long - M-Th 3p-9p until clinicals start.
I am so excited about becoming a nurse - I plan to pursue my RN shortly after this program. I love taking care of people and want to be a great role model for my sons, ages 11 & 15.
The program I am going through is around $6K.
At this point, I'm not sure of our # of hours clinical vs lecture. We have orientation on August 20th and I can't wait. We did have pre-req classes this year though which they haven't done before, so I already have A&P under my belt with a B+ in that class.
Good luck to all you folks out there too!! :)
