Hey everybody. I'm not sure if it's too early but I'm making this page for anybody who is applying to the nursing program at Lonestar College for the Fall of 2019. Looks like Montgomery, Cyfair, and North Harris have applications from Jan 7-April 12. Good luck to everyone!

We are all loosing now 2 months from doing things in our personal lives too. This sitting and waiting and tapping in spot is not doing anything to anyone. I wish they sent us an email or somehow directly notified us about the change. ?
Yup i called yesterday and spoke to them! She told me they are hoping it’s well before June and it can be! But with all the staffing changes they are giving themselves time!
But most of us don’t think it’ll take that long! Hope not!

This is so disorganized. I can’t imagine what it’s gonna be like when the program actually starts and frankly I’m scared. Might start looking to apply to other programs if LSC is gonna be this disorganized during the application period!
Also, why even change the acceptance letter date after the deadline?? If they were gonna change it, it should have been before the application period started. I wish they could’ve sent an email notification too. They’re gonna be receiving tons of emails from students who aren’t a part of this thread.

I hope not Nijah. ? That’s just a long time to wait and short time to get prepared. I’m trying to stay positive and hope for the best, but all that staff changes and moving dates, now, in the middle of the process... that’s what I can’t understand and believe it’s a bad timing to do so...

I think so too. If somebody didn’t check on their website and noticed the change, who knows how long would take us to find out...? It’s like a mind game from here... still, again, hoping for the best! ??

For example, if you have coverage through your job, but plan on leaving and therefore losing your current coverage......then you should be able to purchase new plan coverage as a "qualifying event". Just something possibly to look into! ?
Yeah I don’t qualify for any special enrollments. I’ve checked into that already too ?

I agree with you! I understand the changes I’m just wondering why “why now?”! I mean maybe they have been going through this change it’s just a lot going on! And I’m nervous and stress and honestly I’m trying not to think about nursing school right now

Me too. It’s the only way to keep calm during this period of time.
