Fall 2019 Lonestar Hopefuls

Published

Hey everybody. I'm not sure if it's too early but I'm making this page for anybody who is applying to the nursing program at Lonestar College for the Fall of 2019. Looks like Montgomery, Cyfair, and North Harris have applications from Jan 7-April 12. Good luck to everyone!

Why did it have to us? Why did it have to be our application cycle with the new updates!? Lol ????

I just looked at that and it said April. Weird

Sorry to be a bummer guys but I think realistically we aren't going to hear anything till at least May. With everything that was said yesterday it just seems like they have a ways to go before we hear. I really hope I am way wrong though.

I have a feeling late April early May! Because even with the new changes it only took about a week and a half to send letters out perviously !! Lol we can only hope at this point though right!

Wow y’all are right, they all say June.... that’s really late and wanted to make arrangements with my job.

I hope God hears you!! Hoping and praying and stressing like crazy!

I’m so pissed they pushed the date back? Why fix something that’s not broken!! I’m trying to leave my current job in July so I needed to make arrangements ASAP. This is so aggravating!

Same here.... I’m not quitting my job just work part time. The days I’m not in school I’ll be at work. This is horrible! I bet you the nursing departments are reading all these posts lol.

Not including that it’s cutting it very very very close for financial aid and for those of us who have to do appeals!!

Agreed! There’s school things I need to work out, plus getting background checks, finish my shots and BLS which I won’t do till until AFTER I find out if I get accepted cause I can’t afford to spend the $$ If I’m not sure if I acurally got in or not

Not to mention at home and work I’ve got things to move around before I can devote myself to go to school full time. I have a lot of things I need to work out and pushing the notification back has me super anxious now!

Preach!!! I was thinking the same thing yesterday! Like i have seen the list that we need to complete before school and it is LOOOOOOOOOONG!

and as far as work idnt even wanna think about it!!

plus the amount of school work and reading we have to do before classes start

I honestly don't think it will be June. I think sometime in May. June is cutting it really close for orientation, immunizations, and vaccine series, background checks, drug test, etc. Everyone would be scrambling, students and admin trying to get ready for August 24 school start date. Definitely not tomorrow,? or next week. My guess would be the 1st or 2nd week of May.

Hey! So I've been keeping up with this thread to see where everyone else is at and idk if this would be helpful or not but I got accepted into the LVN program at Cy fair and unfortunately had to withdraw my intent to enroll due to financial circumstances. Anyways, the list that's to be completed after acceptance shouldn't be too much different from LVN to ADN, I would think. A lot of the list is just quantitative titers and immunizations. It does not take as long as you might think to complete. Even if you're not sure if you're going to be accepted this application period and plan on even applying for the next go around, it would be smart to go ahead and start getting those titers and immunizations. Most are good for at least a year, if not more. I hope this relieves a little stress for some of y'all that are scared of the limited time between acceptance letters going out and the start date for the program. I wish everyone well and if you would like me to post what all was needed for the LVN program so you can have an idea of what might be required for the ADN program, just let me know!
