Fall 2019 Lonestar Hopefuls

Hey everybody. I'm not sure if it's too early but I'm making this page for anybody who is applying to the nursing program at Lonestar College for the Fall of 2019. Looks like Montgomery, Cyfair, and North Harris have applications from Jan 7-April 12. Good luck to everyone!

It's not all "wildly different information" its what's being told when they call/email. I know for sure Montgomery said late May/early June acceptance letters will be out. Kaitlin Long emailed me back. Ive been on these forums since 2016. And I've never seen trolling so I do trust what everyone's saying. Who's got time to go make this up... Anywho maybe they are starting up a new way to do all the applications and we just gonna have to wait and see. If anyone gets any new info I personally would like to be informed ?

That’s the class i wanted (because I’m already off on Thursdays) but guess i waited a little to late

Actually i was just able to change it to Tuesdays and Thursdays

Most Def!!!! I want to retain as much as possible since they say we use pharm so much in out nursing courses!!!

are you taking any other classes this summer?

I'll be retaking English 1301 (in case I don't get into the fall) and nutrition (for the Rn-BSN at UTHealth) in the 2nd summer session. Both online.

Also, which campus did you apply to?

I’m taking PSYC this summer too! If i don’t get in I’ll be retaking English in the fall and the anatomy refresher course but i won’t speak that into existence!!

There is a lot of Pharm in nursing. Become familiar with the suffix of the drug and that should help a bit

Any students in nursing school who didn’t take pharmacology before applying? Do you have to take it during your first semester? Was it hard taking pharm with other nursing classes?

I’ve been wondering the same. I talked to the Director of Nursing (and a few students in the program) at another school and she couldn’t believe that they recommend that we take it before the program starts, she also couldn’t believe that they offered it as an online course. So that stressed me out lol
