Fall 2019 Lonestar Hopefuls

Published

Hey everybody. I'm not sure if it's too early but I'm making this page for anybody who is applying to the nursing program at Lonestar College for the Fall of 2019. Looks like Montgomery, Cyfair, and North Harris have applications from Jan 7-April 12. Good luck to everyone!

Okay y'all I might be overthinking or stressed LOL.. but I'm currently sitting at a 7.376 & I'm debating on if I should retake the HESI or not before the deadline. I'm registered to take it on Thursday & the only reason why I'm taking it is to ensure me a spot for fall admissions. However, I'm looking at last fall's forum and people as low as 6.99 ended up getting accepted. Should I retake the HESI or save myself time & sanity and just stay with my score? LOL thanks in advance!

I'm at a 7.376 as well! let me know what you do! Where did the 6.99 get accepted at

What did you get in the critical thinking portion?

I got an 850 on the critical thinking! I'm hoping this will put my application higher. I'm afraid my overall score isn't competitive enough.

Who has turned in their application?

I got really paranoid about messing up any files or the deadline so I sent my application the day it opened up with a 7.504 to Tomball, Cy-Fair and North Harris. I haven't received any emails about incorrect documents so I think I should be fine?

Alright so I already sent in my application but now I’m second guessing myself on the titer part! My quantitative titer came back as positive for immunity (I can’t remember the exact number but it was more than a 9) that’s all I had to submit correct? No prior proof of the Heb B series or anything like that?

You should be fine!

Anyone correct if I'm wrong, but at the information session for Cy-Fair I was told the only thing you need to submit is the positive quantitative titer. If you're negative then you need to submit proof of the 3-series shots.

That’s right. They will email you if Hep B proof is wrong or insufficient. Also, you can always contact nursing advisor. They’ve been very helpful with my application process.

We don’t “HAVE” to go to an informational session until after we find out we are accepted right?

I’m most likely going to retake the HESI, I’m just gonna get some more studying in before.

I believe the 6.99 was accepted to NH!

That’s right. Only accepted students get to attend the session.

Hey guys! new to the thread and have been creeping for awhile but finally made an account so I could ask a question! LOL. If I have already taken a&p2, micro, pharm, and Psyc... and those 4 classes are part of the degree program is it possible to graduate in less than 2 years? or would I just be taking one less class per semester? Thanks for the help ?

If you mean the info session where you’d get info on the nursing program, no, you actually don’t have to go at all. It’s encouraged rather. Anyone who wants to know about the program can go. Now the “orientation “ is totally different. This is after the acceptance letter and also includes the alternates.

No ma’am lol, you have to move at the same pace as the entire class (2 years) finishing all of your prerequisites just means you’d be one of the luckies who don’t have to tend to non-nursing courses while in the program. You can now focus on solely nursing courses.

Btw guys I’m a second semester student at NH. I decided to document my nursing journey so if you guys would like to join me I’ll post the link so you can subscribe. I just started it last semester so I only have 2 videos up so far! I try to show as much as I can so bear with me lol.
