Fall 2019 Lonestar Hopefuls

Hey everybody. I'm not sure if it's too early but I'm making this page for anybody who is applying to the nursing program at Lonestar College for the Fall of 2019. Looks like Montgomery, Cyfair, and North Harris have applications from Jan 7-April 12. Good luck to everyone!

Would be nice if all applicants were on here.... incontestable as many as possible of you know of the ones that applied so we know where exactly we are at. ? I’ve purchased my BlizzCon tickets and I need to know the school schedule ASAP if I have to sell it or not! Anyone know how long it takes to get the actual semester schedule? And I heard once you purchase books they are for the whole 2yrs.

You won’t get your permanent schedule until after the first three weeks of school so latest looking like mid September

You'll get the schedule likely late July. When they send the course calendar it'll tell you what your permanent schedule will be for the entire semester however, the first 3 weeks will be Monday through Friday. To give you an idea it'll be something like this schedule.

Hi there future nursing students!

So I'm a second semester ADN student at Lonestar Cyfair (soon to be third, have my last final of the semester on Wednesday!). I remember coming on this forum when I was an aspiring nursing student and hated the anticipation and unknown of nursing school.

So if anyone has any questions about Cyfairs program, shoot! I'm going to be answering as many questions as I can for you guys. Hope it helps ease some of your anxiety lol

Wow thank you so much this really helps! Do all campuses have the same schedule like this? (Or at least the first 3 weeks)?

Yes I do believe all campuses schedules are different the first 3 weeks because we have to orient with the hospital, lab, and lecture.

Anyone have any idea on tattoo policies for the nursing program? Whats allowed, if anything?

Yes. It’s in the handbook. No visible tattoos. They must be covered. As well as any piercings except for ears and they allow only 2 studs per ear I believe.

So what I just realized (even though everyone has been saying this) that’s its finals and graduation week!
