Hey everybody. I'm not sure if it's too early but I'm making this page for anybody who is applying to the nursing program at Lonestar College for the Fall of 2019. Looks like Montgomery, Cyfair, and North Harris have applications from Jan 7-April 12. Good luck to everyone!

Not the babies popsicle lol!! Ik i got like 6 emails from Tomball about the tornado warning! Had me getting all excited
I haven't had electricity for a few hours but Hurricaine Ike and Harvey and the school of hard knocks taught me that "electricity is a luxury" lol so I guess me and my kids will be playing go fish and stuff after our laptops die lol. Praying for everyone! It's mad over here! Be careful!

That’s May 12-26 that an expectation should be anyways. If it comes sooner, great. The emails will go out when they go out. I’m sure Lone Star is working tirelessly to get this huge task off their plates. But stop calling the schools and flooding them with emails. Let them do their work. If you don’t hear anything by May 17, start asking questions on May 20.
No one wants to read through all these private conversations and speculation. If someone gets solid, confirmed information, please share.
Just the fact they changed date from a April to June, without letting us know at least by email, means these are not the rumors. Maybe internal expectations or hopes, but not rumors.

I did talk to the advisor yesterday face to face in person and her words were “we waiting just like y’all! It’s out of our hands right now!”
I’m not sure if an iPad is really necessary
I like paper and pen but I’m able to do all of the things I use a laptop for on an amazon fire HD8 (7 gen) for $80 and it can record sound/videos and have an attachable keyboard case.
I’m able to access the textbooks if I bought it on amazon too so it works as a etextbook, there’s other options too!

This is a nice affordable option
I have a habit of being distracted in front of typing keyboards but depending how much information is gone over in one lecture I may have to get the keyboard attachment.
So far I’m really happy with it, the amazon books even come with the highlighting feature and you can make notes in the textbook

I got a bunch of text alerts from Tomball LSC for tornado warning and to stay indoors. And my husband works in spring said it’s real bad. Hope your electricity comes back soon! Meanwhile stay inside where it’s safe!
@FaithRyan You’re totally right, I’m gonna use it eventually. I think I’m gonna look at some basic options and see what’s best for me and my wallet lol

Lol thank you that’s what I might do because I’m at the point I’m trying to save some money for nursing school and get rid of some debt before then .
