Fall 2019 Lonestar Hopefuls

Published

Hey everybody. I'm not sure if it's too early but I'm making this page for anybody who is applying to the nursing program at Lonestar College for the Fall of 2019. Looks like Montgomery, Cyfair, and North Harris have applications from Jan 7-April 12. Good luck to everyone!

She said she was looking at the list of people ranked by score that put montgomery down as 1st choice. She also stressed that just because she called me it doesnt mean im in because its the system office that handles the decision. I think getting that call is good news but im not going to count my chickens until i get that letter

That seems like you mostly will get in. Please register for Pharm for the summer. I'm with hidden messages. But NH hasn't said anything at all and nether has CY. Did anyone else from Montgomery get a call??

Do you think they will change their number of acceptances? That would be awful. ? Now I'm really worried.

I hope not but I really have no clue. I know when I went to an information session last Fall they mentioned they were having more and more trouble finding clinical sites.

OMG!! This I awful news. I guess that's why they cant say who is accepted. ? That is discouraging.

Well, it's all just speculation like everything else lately. I'm hopefully wrong. There's nothing else we can do at this point but sit back and wait.

What else did they go over during info session?

It was specific to Kingwood. They went over entry requirements and stuff. They also mentioned since Kingwood and Cyfair are the only 2 for Spring semester entry that it is more difficult to get into those 2.

Man, this thread moves fast lol you guys need to go do something else. ? I received a call from an unknown number (Unknown on CID) yesterday, I wonder if that was a personal call lol. I was in Stats and was unwilling to get up to take a call from Unknown. I never answer unknown calls anyways.

I know this is easier said than done guys...but just try to relax. Your application is in, your test scores are what they are, and there is nothing you can do to expedite a decision and worrying isn't going to do you any good. It's going to happen when it happens. Just make your plans for the rest of the year as if you got in, and if you didn't...your year just opened up.

Anyone who received an email for fingerprints requested by TBON, I would advise you to go ahead and do it as your name has been placed on some sort of roster and sent to Austin. You're either in or an alternate. Might as well get that process started.

I know most people probably made their decision based on location. I live 5 minutes from Cy Fair but Montgomery is my first choice because they have the highest NCLEX pass rate. I ranked my choices based on that factor alone. I don't mind a little drive if I believe I'm going to get a better education. ?

Is anyone taking Pharm in Summer II at NH with Noeller in hybrid form?

I’m taking Rita Cinquemani hybrid course at NH; i heard she is really good

I don't know how true this is, but a friend of mine who is in the Montgomery program as a first-year student told me hospitals are hiring ADNs from Montgomery but NH students can't even get an interview. Take that with a grain of salt, but it's worth knowing I suppose.

I heard good things about Noeller and RMP confirmed that lol. I don't mind driving for good professors ? Are you currently taking it or enrolled for one of the summer sessions?
