Fall 2019 Lonestar Hopefuls

Hey everybody. I'm not sure if it's too early but I'm making this page for anybody who is applying to the nursing program at Lonestar College for the Fall of 2019. Looks like Montgomery, Cyfair, and North Harris have applications from Jan 7-April 12. Good luck to everyone!

Will CyFair, North Harris or Montgomery tell you the cutoff score from last Fall (2018)? As it stands now mine is very dependent on the HESI. My weakest section is A&P. That and PATIENCE. From what I have read on here, anything less than 7.00 (ore even higher) is wait-list material.

Someone had previously said that the cutoff for CF last semester was a 7.55, but she knew someone in the program who got accepted as an alternate with a 7.4.. I'm not sure about the others

I’m at a 7.48 and wondering if it will be good enough to get into NH... I still have time to take the HESI one more time. I scored an 87 A&P 96, Math 96, and 80s on the rest)

I got accepted as an alternate last semester at KW with a 7.3

Well then I have some serious work to do. I'm currently in another A&P I class because I did get a B previously. With my A in English this portion gives me 3.42 points. It's almost (no, it IS) imperative to get A's in both just to stand a chance. As it looks now, if I leave those alone I would need a perfect score (NOT) on the HESI to have a slim shot.

I heard someone for NH made it in as a alternate with a 6.99

Well if I have to contend with my A&P I grade of B then I'll be having to go to the backup plan...HCC. Lonestar CyFair is in my neighborhood but if I cannot get in then I have to check HCC out. I won't be looking forward to out-of-district tuition or the commute, but it's that or wait for Spring 2020 at CyFair. That would have me finishing about June 2021 instead of December 2020 if I were starting CyFair this Fall.

Mine asked for my signature but it was electronic signature. So it asked me to type my name in. It did this for the score sheet and the actual application

I just realized this website was back up. Yay! I literally just submitted my application about 5 mins ago. I know they close the applications on April 12 but does anybody know around when they will send out the acceptance/rejection letters?

Also, I am taking Micro as well as Pharmacology this semester (NH doesn’t require prior approval for the course). Micro seems fun but it is a lot of work and Pharmacology is ALOT of info.
