Fall 2019 Lonestar Hopefuls

Hey everybody. I'm not sure if it's too early but I'm making this page for anybody who is applying to the nursing program at Lonestar College for the Fall of 2019. Looks like Montgomery, Cyfair, and North Harris have applications from Jan 7-April 12. Good luck to everyone!

Is English 2 not taken into consideration

No. To my knowledge, A&P I and Engl 1 are the classes and HESI is the exam. Maybe they take the higher of the English courses, but the scoring sheet is online.

It was this time last year that I applied for Fall 2018, only to be told on Acceptance Day that I was denied because my uploaded FERPA form was blank. To this day, I don't know how that could have been possible because I still have the signed, saved copy on my computer. I also had been in contact with them before the application deadline and nobody caught it.

So just QUADRUPLE check. The littlest thing could ruin your application!

That’s my worst fear! I emailed a lady in the nursing department to make sure all my documents were correct this time and she wasn’t any help . She told me that If something is not correct, you will be emailed.

Which campus was this? Hate to hear they weren’t helpful knowing other applicants issues in the past. I sent my app to cyfair this week and was planning on emailing to verify my documents next week.

It’s okay I’ll try emailing someone else tomorrow ... And It was North Harris.

They told me the exact samething yesterday when I emailed the nursing advisor.

I think it’s just best to speak face to face I’m going Monday, as soon as they open!

That's funny that this came up in this thread, as I literally just got done emailing J------ G---- at NH to verify everything was received. I really hope I don't get a run-around response from her. It's that kind of ambiguous lack of help that I kept getting from KW that kept me from wanting to go back there.

So nice to see this is back up and running, btw! Hey urrrbody!

“She told me that If something is not correct, you will be emailed.” They must have implemented that this year because they certainly did not review my documents last year nor send an email.

I know it must be frustrating for them to get similar emails, calls, and questions every year from so many applicants, but that’s just the name of the game! Application time is a big deal, and I make no apologies for wanting to ensure things are in order. I truly wish administration at the Lone Star campuses (and really, at all college/university campuses) were more student oriented. Many times it feels like they interact with students like this is still high school and not as if our literal livelihoods depend on their communication.
