Hey everyone, just wanted to start a Fall 2018 page for Lone Star ADN/LVN future students!

@Jenn M tbh I watched videos on YouTube, specifically AnatomyGMC. She went over all the systems in great detail. Then I purchased the A&P portion of Readyforthehesi. There were exact questions on the hesi test that came from

this guide! That's how I prepared for AP and ended up with a 92% on that portion. Everything else, I reviewed the Hesi review book, used quizlet, and the pocket prep app. If u need the study guide, I can personally email it you, no charge.

Has anyone here taken an 8-week A&P class before? I'm debating whether I can handle it or not. I'm re-taking it, as it has been 7 years. Not taking any other classes currently.

AP1 seems easier to me, so if you were to retake it in 8 weeks I would do Ap1

Do they take your recent HESI score or choose the highest? My score was pretty low and I'm debating if i should take it again

Unfortunately, they only accept your most recent score. I would only retake if my overall points/score was below 6.9. It also depends if your score is too low, you might risk failing a section and not being eligible to apply at all.

How is everyone with their Hep B shots & titer? I will be starting the accelerated series once school starts again.

Got my first shot today at the Conroe location. $25 even. I go back a week from today for shot #2.

I am currently taking A&P1 as an 8 week, immediately followed by A&P2 as an 8 week, all while taking Micro as a 16 week. I think I have a death wish, lol. I am applying to multiple programs though and most others require all 3 as pre-req's hence why I'm doing them all now because I don't want to continue prolonging my program applications.
