Hey everyone, just wanted to start a Fall 2018 page for Lone Star ADN/LVN future students!
I have a friend who just graduated from Montgomery's program in may. They had a 100% pass rate on the first go of the NCLEX and I believe are completely employed. It's a well respected program in the Woodlands Area. I think there is only 1-2 hospitals that are magnet status in Montgomery County that won't employ an ADN. All the others do.She pushed me to refresh all my pre-req's in the 8-wk format bc she had classmates with a B in A&P or English. The Montgomery nursing dept. said aim for 7.5 in their seminar though. I'm also applying to Montgomery 1st, Tomball 2nd, might do cy-fair 3rd bc they wrap up earlier and I prefer a smaller department. Hopefully we will be classmates at Montgomery though!
I heard it is very competitive to get in.
I choose not to retake the HESIin fear I would end up not passing a section. I took the HESI 4x í ½í¸. It was Vocab and Anatomy that got me every time by 1pt. So I stuck with my score 7.296. What is your score?
Good Luck to all. Unfortunately my application will be invalid because I just completed my series on Mar 14 and you have to wait 30 days after that to take the titer. By then I will have missed the deadline. So good luck to all my fellow future nurses. You guys have worked so hard and it will soon pay off. Best Wishes

Did you have the hep b series done previous to this series?
If you have there is a chance that you can still get in, just add your shot record with proof that you've been through the first series, then the negative titer, with proof of at least the first booster shot.

Are you not taking the Rapid Track? Do you have a titer at all? You do not need to prove prior shot. I have confirmed this twice, including today. Only that you have begun the rapid series of doses. You must provide the positive result before school begins or you would be dropped. As long as you are on Rapid dose and have a negative titer to turn in, I don't see what else is holding you back.

I've officially applied! I'm so paranoid about my Hep. B even though I'm doing the rapid immunization. I asked today what the time frame was and she was told to say 2-4 weeks and that everything will be sent using your mylonestar.edu account. Please let it be 2 weeks and not 4!
I'm sorry to hear that. There will be new registrations starting on September for Cyfair and Kingwood they'll be starting in January 2019 if any of those were some you wanted to go to. Best wishes. You have a great score and next time around you'll get in(:
I'd like to correct the info about the upcoming registration for January 2019. Registration starts on July and ends on September.

I didn't do the rapid series. I did it over the course of six months. I completed the series last week and I took the Titer the day after my last Hep B shot and it was negative. Since I just completed the series last week it is to soon to start another series without waiting 30 days

The lady up front at the Express Family Clinic in New Caney said 3 days. That's seemed really early to me so I waited longer, but she did say 3 days so maybe call and ask! I received my results by 12pm the following day.
