Fall 2018 Lone Star Hopefuls

Hey everyone, just wanted to start a Fall 2018 page for Lone Star ADN/LVN future students!

Also here are my scores. Not sure how to calculate what my final application score is but.....

English A

A&P B

HESI Scores:cum... 89.2%

Anatomy & Physiology Score -- 100

HESI Math Score -- 86

HESI Reading Comprehension Score-- 84

HESI Vocabulary Score-- 90

HESI Grammar Score-- 86

Critical thinking score-- 900

Will be applying at Kingwood. Do you guys think I should retake the hesi? It is too late to retake A&P because I am refreshing it now and will be taking Pharm in the summer because it expired.

Those are awesome scores in your HESI. Looks like you have a score of 3.568 in your HESI. Not sure how many points you get for the A in English and B in A&P

If you can retake A&P I would before the fall. If they have a summer A&P and strive for an "A" if you get it then hat gives you the max points which is 4 plus your HESI which would give you a Nice 7.568.

I too hope to get in for the fall 2018. I have a 7.296 and applied for montgomery, but I am worried that score is too low. My second choice is Tomball and third North Harris. Good luck let me know if you get in!

erivee how did you like montgomery? It is my first choice, not sure if I will get in with a 7.296. I also applied to a Tomball and North Harris.

erivee how did you like montgomery? It is my first choice, not sure if I will get in with a 7.296. I also applied to a Tomball and North Harris.

I have a friend who just graduated from Montgomery's program in may. They had a 100% pass rate on the first go of the NCLEX and I believe are completely employed. It's a well respected program in the Woodlands Area. I think there is only 1-2 hospitals that are magnet status in Montgomery County that won't employ an ADN. All the others do.

She pushed me to refresh all my pre-req's in the 8-wk format bc she had classmates with a B in A&P or English. The Montgomery nursing dept. said aim for 7.5 in their seminar though. I'm also applying to Montgomery 1st, Tomball 2nd, might do cy-fair 3rd bc they wrap up earlier and I prefer a smaller department. Hopefully we will be classmates at Montgomery though!

Gennyq86 I started mine the day it opened and I am beyond done waiting to know something. However, this semester has kept me pretty busy and time is flying! Which programs did you apply to?!
