Fall 2014 Ivy Tech Nursing

Published

Congratulations everyone! We have worked so hard and now we are waiting for the answer to our dreams. I thought I would start this thread and encourage others to participate in order to inform each other as well as future students about TEAS V scores and total overall scores. There isn't a lot of support within Ivy Tech and I want to encourage those who really strive to be a nurse to continue on your way no matter the obstacles or discouragements you may face.

I recently finished all pre-reqs with A's and my last attempt at the TEAS V was an 87.4. This gives me a total rating of 177.4/190. My first attempt at the TEAS V exam, I scored a 76.2; it was recommended that I retake it to try to achieve at least an 85 or higher. I am trying to get into the Lafayette and Lawrence ASN programs, where there are more students who apply every year. Don't let these scores scare you, i've done a lot of research and have found that TEAS V scores of 76 and higher with some straight A's and others with a B or two have been accepted into the ASN program around Indiana. However, if you can take a second attempt to get a better score, I recommend it. The ATI book was a great resource for me. Amazon sells it for fairly cheap.

Now its your turn. Where have you applied and what scores did you achieve?

Indy (Lawrence) letters have been sent out!!! I am waiting on this one and Lafayette!!! Can't believe it's time.

No email as of yet, I am so worried I won't get in. If I am not accepted I will probably retake A&P 1 and the TEAS V. They should just send everyone emails and save trees and us the wait.

I agree. Just email me so I can stop obsessively watching my mailbox and the mail truck pass by.

I was accepted in the PN program in Indy... Still waiting on other campuses.

I was accepted into the Fall 2014 Bloomington Ivy Tech ASN program with a point total of 171.3! I have all A's and an 81.3 on the TEAS. Congrats to everyone else who was accepted!

I didn't get in at Kokomo but I was accepted to the ASN program in Anderson. I was also accepted to the PN program in Bloomington and I am an alternate for the ASN program.

Has anyone heard ANYTHING from Gary?

Has anyone heard anything for Terre Haute campus?

I got into Kokomo's ASN program. I cant WAIT for the orientation... it's about as slow to get here as the letter was! So freakkng excited!!

Tell me about it!!! Ours is July 10th, when is yours? I promised myself that I would take it easy this summer. Hahahahaha...I can't stop thinking about deadlines, financial aid, and what-ifs. I don't even have any deadlines as of yet and I am already stressing about it. Our campus doesn't give us any information until orientation. We will still have about 6 weeks to complete everything, but its just sooo close to the start of school.

I received a call and was accepted into the ASN program in INDY!

Our orientation is July 14. Lickity Split, soon as I got that letter I had my background and drug screening done, I've taken my BLS class and I just received word that my titres are good so I don't need anymore shots, so my physical is complete. Nothing left to do now but shop and wait!
