Hi, I will be applying to hcc for fall 2020. My stats are:

Do I have a chance of getting into the program for the fall term?

@Krengifo Thank you for this. I'll check out the Brandon location since it's closer. I was getting anxious about it.

You're welcome! We got this!

health science dept just emailed back about the waiver. They said it’s okay, but that if we want we can change it to 2020 date.

For those that are in the Plant City cohort, would you like to make a facebook group if there isn't one already? I can make a group on facebook if there isn't one!

I emailed back and asked and was told "Please disregard the part of the HCC Dale Mabry Campus in the Confirmation Form. Go by the campus assigned in your admission email." So I'm assuming we fill out the same paperwork that we already have and just ignore the fact that it says dale mabry?

Hey guys im new to this website but I also got into the plant city cohort! I would LOVE a facebook group!

Two questions...

1. I'm applying for the fall semester, but haven't taken the TEAS test yet. With coronavirus, campus is closed. Anyone hear anything about how we're supposed to take it? Is it even possible to still take it? I tried emailing campus, but haven't heard back yet.

2. Are first and second attempts at classes factored into the pre-req GPA or just the highest grade? I took anatomy 2 twice and received much better grades the second time.

Thanks

Did you ever receive an answer to your second question

Hey guys I found a clinic that can provide both physical examination and immunization. The price is really reasonable and that lady is very nice.

How many uniforms did everyone buy? And what type of scrub top did you choose?

I ordered two embroidered tops, two bottoms, and a jacket. I ordered the bottoms off amazon because I worried about the fit, and they’re way too big on me ?

Hey, what kind did your order off of Amazon? I was wondering how strict they may be with the type of scrub bottoms. I really like the jogger style.

Does anyone know of any good and cheap health insurances that will be acceptable for the program?

I purchased the exact Cherokee scrub bottoms they have listed on the website. I got an XS petite and they were too big. I ordered them off amazon because I knew shipping would take awhile due to embroidery of the tops. I just ordered the Cherokee wine tapered lab scrub bottoms from amazon! They look exactly like the ones they ask us to wear, they just don’t have a flared leg. I hope they fit ?? I’m not sure how strict they are with styles though!

Congratulations on your acceptance into the program. I would double check to make sure you are allowed to wear a different type of pants. In my cohort we had some petite young ladies as well and they were able to wear the scrub pants. HCC is pretty strict on their uniform guidelines. From what I can tell the only thing we can deviate is to wear non embroidered tops and the t-shirts approved by SGA. Hope this helps.

Thank you for the info! I tried on the scrub bottoms and tied them to the fullest extent, they just didn’t fit ? The other bottoms that I was talking about are nearly identical! They are Cherokee, wine colored, with the same pockets and elastic piece. They just have a different waist band and a slightly less wide bottom. I by no means want to get in trouble, or suggest that others do the same as me, I just need pants that fit LOL
