Nursing Students General Students

Just putting out some feelers. Im signed up for my Kaplan entrance exam for NAU, but there isnt a lot of info out there to help. I was woundering if any other hopefulls are signed up and studying. From what ive herd, its really only general and very broad A&P for the science? Let me know if thats all that will help. Also, taking the HESI A2 in march and am just worried about how difficult ive herd it is. Any advise would help, as well as anyone who is also applying with me what is your timeline looking like? GCU has kind of been a mess for me with advising. Thanks!

Thank you so much! I'm going to go down to the gcu tucson campus today and see if I can ask some questions.

Good luck! They are pretty good at emailing back too. I think I had set an appointment with him when I did it. I got accepted to GCU and NAU but chose NAU

Joanna has been super helpful with all of my questions. But with a pre req gpa of 3.82, should I be worried. My overall gpa is 3.46. But I was just informed it's only your pre req gpa not overall.

I wouldn't stress it. She told me she wasn't sure if my kaplan score was competitive enough and I still got in. Don't let her scare you. Apply, the worst thing that can happen is you get declined and reapply next semester. If you don't get accepted you can defer your enrollment to NAU so you don't have to pay the application fee again.

Thank you! I'm just stressing out and have a million and one questions

It's ok we were all there at one point!

I am also applying for Fall 15. How did your Kaplan go? I am crossing my fingers because I think I am on the lower side with a 3.6 GPA and an 81 on the kaplan (65 in science). I am so tempted to email the nursing advisor and ask what the average Kaplan score is this cycle but i'm not sure if that's appropriate lol.

I actually just made an appoimemt with her today to turn in my application! My applying gpa is actually a 3.64, I calculated wrong the first time but my kaplan was an 87 and an 80 in science. She actually said that she's been seeing the average this cycle for the science being in the 60's. I'm worried too. My gpa is really not too hot. But she said I was competitive

You did fantastic, in my opinion you have nothing to worry about! Do you have your AGEC? I'm so anxious, I feel like this will be the longest wait of my life!

I know! Yes I'm getting my agec as well as an associates. The wait is really going to suck but she said they would decide the end of March or beginning of April the latest.

Oh that's good news! I've seen on here in the past Fall students not finding out until the first week of May. We won't have to suffer too long. I took the first Kaplan date offered and turned in my application a month ago so that just added to the wait! I got my AGEC/AA in December so I'm praying that will give me a few extra points. Are you applying to GCU also? I've had communication issues with them thus far and it has really turned me off :/

Yes and I've had HUGE communication issues with them as well. Very unprofessional
