Just putting out some feelers. Im signed up for my Kaplan entrance exam for NAU, but there isnt a lot of info out there to help. I was woundering if any other hopefulls are signed up and studying. From what ive herd, its really only general and very broad A&P for the science? Let me know if thats all that will help. Also, taking the HESI A2 in march and am just worried about how difficult ive herd it is. Any advise would help, as well as anyone who is also applying with me what is your timeline looking like? GCU has kind of been a mess for me with advising. Thanks!

Hi Ebone!

I got in on my second try. The first time I applied my pre-req GPA was about the same as yours and I still had a few classes in progress. I didn't study the right things and ended up with a 70 on the Kaplan with a 50 in science. The second time around (Same GPA) I got my AGEC-A/AA to improve my chances and I scored an 81 on the Kaplan with a 65 in science. When studying for the Kaplan do not waste your time on the Kaplan nursing entrance exam study guide. Study physiology for science, all of the systems. I bought A&P for Dummies to study and it was a life saver :) Math was pretty simplistic, I was terrified of the Math portion and it was almost my best category. Writing is the one that came out of left field for me so maybe brush up on that. I know exactly how you feel about never wanting anything so bad. I am set to start next month and still can't believe it is real. Keep a positive mind set and do your best!! Good Luck!!

Omg thank you so much! I just need to study for my Kaplan and do well on it! Then I'm pretty sure I'll get in! Congratulations! How long did it take for you to get your acceptance letter after you submitted the application? Also how long did you study for the Kaplan??

hello everyone, i jut took the kaplan for the nau nursing program. i didn't do so well with an overall grade of 68% both math and reading were my highest with high c's and science being at 65% even though i am a good writer and thought i would do good in this subject i scored in the high 50's. i am really discouraged. my gpa is 3.7 should i cry myself to sleep? has anyone been accepted with these scores?

I think I'm going to take mine next week. I took the TEAS test for ASU and I got an 84 I think the TEAS is harder than the Kaplan so I haven't studied that much. Now I'm kinda nervous. I hope I do well enough.

May i ask what your overall kaplan score was?

oh it was low 68%
