Fall 2013 FSCJ Nursing Student Hopefuls

U.S.A. Florida

Hey everyone! Wanted to go ahead and start a thread for our group. I've been following the spring and summer 2013 group a little and figured it might be a good idea to get focused for the fall 2013 group. I've completed all my prerequisites and took my NAT test. Got a 107 on the test and I'm sitting at a 93 will all the prerequisites. So I'm going into the application process with a 203. Does anyone know what the general cut off is? I'm a bit nervous but I'm sure everyone else is too. The only thing I haven't completed is the CPR. I read once that this can be done after acceptance into the program...is that true? Thanks everyone! Can't wait to start chatting!

Does anyone know how we find out if we got into days or eve? Are they doing evenings this semester?

Yes, they are doing both. It should be printed on your envelope which one you were accepted into.

Thanks for the information, Shellye1970. But there is just something about that Flu shot that just doesn't sit right with me. I have heard a lot of things about it that are detrimental, and I don't just go on heresay, I try to do research myself. I'm still on the fence with this one.

I felt the same way justdoitright about the flu shot. I volunteer at a hospital so I had the choice of getting flu shot or wearing the mask for 5 months. I heard horrible things about the flu shot and didn't really want to do it. However, I felt it is going to be almost a requirement for me as a nurse, so I did it and got the shot. I was fine. I received the flu shot last October. I had no side effects but a red mark on arm for about 3 weeks. I hope this will help you in making your decision. Good luck.

rjohnson, it does help to hear your story. Thanks so much. makes me feel better about it, but I'm going to try to squeeze in a bit more research about it before I make my decision. Good luck to you also!

I got accepted and my friend updated me on hoW to go about buying uniforms. She said that the white and khaki scrub pants can be bought from anywhere.

I also work in a hospital and was given a flu shot back in March with no side effects. I too had never had one and was very hesitant on taking it.

I got into nights and weekends - it's been quite a journey so far. Anyone have info on a good "one-stop-shop" for all shots and physical?

I'm in! I applied for days with 189 points!!! Congratulations everyone :)

Hello everyone!

After reading this thread I decided to register. I got my acceptance packet for daytime in the mail. I would LOVE to switch to nights and weekends with someone. If anyone is interested in switching please email me at [email protected] or call/text me at 904-322-2nine20.

Congrats everyone!!!!!

I still haven't received anything. I left two messages and emailed cj does anyone know if there is someone else I can get in contact with?

Scheduled my physical and shots today! Getting really nervous now.... is anyone else in day classes planning to work part time? And is anyone planning to use the daycare on campus?? I don't know anything about Chappel.
