I just got accepted into Chabot's program! I'm very excited that no matter what happens with Cal State, I know I will be starting nursing school in the fall. I have to accept by May 15, let's hope they send out admittance letters before then!

Hey all. I recently got my denial letter from SJSU nursing, so I'm extremely bummed and my motivation has gone down the drain. And judging from everyone else's scores I'm not keeping my hopes up for this one as well.

Overall GPA: 3.7

TEAS: 84%

Healthcare experience.

Also, I haven't received ANY emails regarding nursing, so I'm a little worried. All I've received from East Bay were emails about orientation and FAFSA. Apparently everyone got an email talking about when to expect nursing results and I haven't received anything. Should I be worrried? I applied through nursing cas and followed everything so I don't know why I wouldn't be getting emails.

I didn't apply anywhere else because I didn't take the teas in time so if I'm denied here too I have to wait until fall to apply to the community colleges and some southern CA csu's. ugh I feel like my life is in shambles right now.

Hey there. I'm sorry you're feeling so defeated right now, I've been there. Last year I applied to Merritt College and Los Medanos, both lottery, and didn't get in. I was devastated because I knew I would be waiting another year to start a program. I'm hoping it happened for a reason and I get into CSUEB! The only email I have received was regarding accepting admission by May 1, which is today! Hopefully everyone did that!! In the email is said it was likely acceptance letters wouldn't go out until after that. Did you get that email? Did you accept admission? Don't lose hope, jusy focus that the best possible outcome will work out for you!

Actually after looking through my email I did receive emails. They just went to spam for some reason.

The wait is torture. It would easier if they said on this date we will send out letters. Instead I'm waiting by my mailbox like a bridge troll everyday.

I've been reading these posts for the last few weeks and I finally need to vent cuz the wait is killing me, too!

Overall GPA: 3.87

Science GPA: 4.0

TEAS: 93%

Foreign Language

I've been accepted to another program but CSUEB is my first choice so I have my fingers crossed. Even if I'm in the top 50 of the waitlist I may take my chances. My friend got in last year off the waitlist and she was in the 26-50 group. I have another friend who got in with a 4.0 GPA and foreign language but only an 80% TEAS, so you never know.

Also, I emailed about the Writing Test. They said that until we are in a degree program, we will get the error message on our TO DO list. Once we are matriculated and in a degree program (nursing) then we will become Junior status and will be allowed to take the test. According to them, everyone who is seeking a degree from the university MUST complete the USWT.

I hope we all find out soon.

I'm just going to stop refreshing my email everyday and expect to hear back at the end of May. I don't need this stress anymore, I have the WST tomorrow

I just got an email from CSU, East Bay after asking if they have an idea when they will send out their acceptance letters. They are still reviewing the applications and hope to send out notifications by the end of May. :unsure:

I've been hoping they will send out notifications sooner as well. I'm stressed out too because the other program I was accepted to starts on May 30th!! So, I called the nursing department last week and she said we will definitely hear before May 30th. In the meantime, I want to tear my hair out because I can't stand not knowing. The anxiety is barely manageable. Uuuuugggggghhhhh.
