  1. Has anyone heard from the ED spots at Summit or Alta Bates?
  2. I applied to the positions in both ED's as well as the ICU position at Eden. Nurses and Dr's I know sent emails to recommend an interview and I would be a good fit. Regardless, I haven't heard a thing.
  3. WOW!! Congratulations everyone who was contacted! I wonder what they were looking at in the selection process. Still waiting but I'm pretty sure I wasn't selected. Anyone want to post their stats? BSN, CVICU senior preceptorship, 3.5gpa, 10+ years paramedic
  4. I know this is a crazy year for new graduates, but I was wondering how long should I expect to wait for an interview invitation or rejection email? I am in the SF Bay Area, and I know the market is flooded with new nurses. I have applied everywhere and with multiple departments. Some hospitals, I get a timely rejection email and I move on to another opening. A few places I feel like I am in a "reviewing application" purgatory. Should I contact HR to find out the statues of these applications or just wait it out? While I knew getting into a position would be difficult, I wasn't expecting the lack of information and the frustration of being at the mercy of the Applicant Tracking Systems. I guess I was under the false pretense that prior medical experience and multiple hospital contacts would give me an advantage. Thanks for letting me vent. Any advice would be appreciated.
  5. Mine changed to "application in review". I am trying not to check compulsively since interviews won't be until next month. No need to drive myself crazy. Especially after reading that last year there were 600 applicants!
  6. Does anyone know if accepting another job prior to the start of Stanford’s program will result in disqualification?
  7. Hey all! Just curious where everyone is applying from. I'm in the SF Bay Area.
  8. So, I'm a little stressed about the WST. A friend of mine who is in the last class said he still hasn't taken his. Unknown if the WST requirement was a typo but he thinks it's pretty odd we have to do it prior to taking the classes. It is a graduation requirement only. It has been years since I have written an essay. Anyone hear anything different?
  9. I got an email! Yippie, I will be attending the Concord campus!
  10. Thanks for the calendar! Big help in trying to plan. For everyone on the wait-list, the school will start contacting people after May 31.
  11. gpa 3.89 science 4.0 teas 84% healthcare experience
  12. I was checking my CalState email and not my private email. I got on the upper 1/3 wait-list. Fingers crossed!
  13. Holy crap! I haven't gotten anything! Lets hope that is good news. My last name starts with an H, anyone further down the alphabet get a letter?
  14. I just got an email from CSU, East Bay after asking if they have an idea when they will send out their acceptance letters. They are still reviewing the applications and hope to send out notifications by the end of May.
