Fall 2018 CSN Hopefuls?

Published

Hello Everyone! After much consideration I have decided to apply for CSN ADN and then I will do the RN-BSN program at NSC. It is more cost effective for me that way. I am in the summer Biol-189 course right now with hopes of getting into AP1 for Fall 2017. I am planning on taking Micro online with Marian University to get some more points in before the March 1, 2018 deadline. Then AP 2 in the Spring!

Is there anyone else out there working on Fall 2018 admission? Where are you in the process???

Have any of you heard about the cutoff points for the Fall 2017 and Spring 2017 cohorts? I wanted to apply for the part time, but considering CSN only accepts 16 people vs the 100+ for the full time, in addition to that I won't have everything done then full time it is for me.

Good of luck to you all! 😊

... Are you still applying for fall2018?? I thought your sub waiver fell through . Part time or full time ?
It unexpectedly showed in my email earlier today. I just finished printing my stuff, I'll submit it first thing in the morning. I should have 39 points for the full time track.

In one of the Face Book pages, a poster said the Fall 2018 start cohort will be the first one to be offered a BSN bridge. If that becomes official, it will be good news.

WOW! Huge congrats dean. Must be such a relief! I'm sure you'll get in. Maybe pre-mature but I've been looking into different Rn-BSN bridge programs, and have discovered that TOURO has an amazing bridge! The only pre reqs are having graduated with an ADN , be licensed, and patho. Other than that no pre reqs, program is all on line and only 12 months PLUS o my costs 9k! We'll see if csn goes through with there's but Touro is looking like a definite contender

Thank you, it is a relief. I hope the CSN bridge program comes through and has favorable details. If not, I'm partial to the WGU RN-MSN Management and Leadership program.

Hey dean how was your appt with the LEC? Did they give you an updated count for submitted apps?

I just showed up at 2:00 when the office opened. There were a couple dozen apps slid under the door and two other people submitting at the time. We didn't go over my app or discuss anything. I'm going in blind, so my fingers are crossed.

Well the boards for the last few cycles we're getting calls around 4/15-4/20. So I'd imagine we'd be the same. Omg and can you believ she said if you got in you get a phone call. If you didn't get in you'll get a letter in the mail! I mean not even email.. that's terrible to make some ppl wait that long !

You should join the Facebook group. Most people will post right after they receive the call. Last semester, Spring 2018, i didn't make it and the day everyone got their acceptance calls, the next day I received a letter in the mail that I was not selected (I had a TEAS Memo). So it's pretty fast.

The Facebook page is named: CSN Nursing Fall 2018

I've been taking a break from FB for a while, but how many ppl are in the group? Honestly I would imagine close to everyone who applied is either here or in FB group.

They reinstated the part time program! Whooo hooo! I applied for it!

Great me too! When did you submit your app? When I submitted the day before deadline there were only 15 apps for part time . And a total of 16 get in

That is GREAT to hear, not many people!

I submitted mine the second week in January! I e-mailed the health counselor & she said they usually take 30-45 days to let everyone know if they got in. Feels like forever already!
