Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

I dropped off my application for the fall 2017 (MANE) Century College nursing program. Anyone else? Let's start a conversation here about getting in!

I'm wondering about working while attending NHCC. I've been accepted into the nursing program for Spring, 2018 but will need to work at least 30hours a week to maintain our health insurance. Is this doable?

We have 33 hours study time outside of class per credit hour, so working 30 hours a week seems like too much. I have classes Mom-Thursday.microbiology plus the first semester nursing curriculum

Hey, congrats on your acceptance to MCTC! I'm hoping to apply this coming February for the Fall 2018 start. What was your composite score? Thank you!

Hi, I've watched this thread for awhile. Don't know if anyone still looks at it but I just took my TEAS last Friday and am getting ready to apply to Century. Hoping to get in for Fall 2018. I got a 85.3% on the TEAS and not really sure about GPA--somewhere in the 3.5-3.7 range. My credits are transferred from a college in Florida so I'm not exactly sure which classes are used to assess my GPA. I feel ok about my chances. Anyone else applying for this fall?

Hi ylime77! Good luck to you. I started this thread last January and actually ended up meeting what are now my best friends in nursing school! You are obviously welcome to post here but I wonder if you'll get better uptake if you do a new post with the same title but for 2018? Up to you. Your numbers look good to me, I think you'll have a good chance. However I think you should contact Sherry Hegstrom ASAP to look over everything! In the event you need to do any transcript finding or fill out any exemption paperwork you'll need to do that NOW so it doesn't hold up your application. She'll meet with you or can even look over things through email and is really nice. Reach out if you have any questions!
