I dropped off my application for the fall 2017 (MANE) Century College nursing program. Anyone else? Let's start a conversation here about getting in!
Hey guys just wanted to update you with where I am at: I initially got waitlisted at inver and metro at an 11.34. Heartbroken... I got denied at century with an 11.59 due to some sort of hold on my account, but was able to make an appeal. I'll find out whether I'm accepted in about two weeks. Better news is I just emailed metro and they said my acceptance letter is on its way!!!!!! They accept 32 people and waitlisted about 80 this semester. How crazy is that?! Now the question is should I wait to see about century (my 1st choice), or just go with metro??? Looking at the cost, metro is slightly more expensive being about 1,000 more per semester and then adding parking is another 150 per semester, but it's also only 15 minutes away from my house compared to 25 from century. Would love your input!!!
For me the extra drive to Century would be a negative. Then again the extra money for metro will add up. I would take the metro spot and then see if you are offered a Century spot. If you are offered a spot at Century then you can decide. Is there something about Century that is really important to you?
Good point!! Honestly, I'm not sure why I like century so much! I think I've just heard such good things about the school and staff and I really haven't heard anything (positive or negative) about metro. I'm not really a fan of being downtown so just the fact that I would have to pay for parking and may not even find a spot in time could outway the extra 10 minute drive to century is kinda how I think about it
