Hello! Do you know the date in April for orientation? I haven't gotten any more information about everything besides I got in lol

Orientation is April 26th it is a all day event we are going to learn a ton of information lol

Really? You didn't get the recent email about having things like your immunization stuff and other materials in?

Just wanted to say I also live without an hour and 20 minutes away. How far away do you live? Did you find anything or any ideas for a living situation?

No I haven't gotten an email. I will have to contact ********. I live a little over an hour away and I am not sure if I am gonna try to commute or find a place

Yes definitely try to contact ***** She is always so helpful with information for sure. Yeah I debated that too for a little while however when we're there for 5 days a week in the summertime and then four days a week with clinicals and everything else I don't know I feel like it's going to make it hard to commute an hour and 15 or 20 a day. You know?

I also wanted to ask are you applying for any year scholarships?

I haven't done research with the scholarships but I want to. How about you? Yeah well the clinicals be all over the state. So two days in the classroom and then two days to hospitals isn't too bad for me. But yeah every day in the summer would be tough for me . I was debating about getting an apartment for the summer time

Definitely ditto on the apartment thing because that's just going to be a lot for us especially the beginning and late nights with staying up to study. I'm still skeptical on what I want to do for a living because I also could do the same thing come the actual semesters for fall and spring but summer time will be rough. I am looking into scholarships but haven't made much progress yet so I need to get on that LOL

I feel ya:) it would be a long commute but I also think about what is going to cost more. Do you plan on working at all? I am trying to figure out expensive like gas money, how I would pay for an apartment, etc

Well here is the thing can't work a lot at all, I wouldn't do well . I have a job I want to go per diem at maybe do every couple weeks a couple shifts lol well if you got a few roomate it might be different and carpools I heard are key! Trust me I got my letter late like a month late and found out by calling and spontaneously finding out, and ever since then I have been trying to figure out how to afford all of this!

What do you currently do?

I work in a lab right now.40 hours a week. But I am the same way, I will NOT do good in school if I work and it's hard finding a pet diem job. I don't know what to do. I am going to have to take out some serious loans if I can't work for a full year with no breaks !

Oh girl me too!!! I also work 40 hours as a PCT, so I get it which would be awful to loose but what can we do?..Eat ramen and PB & J's for daysss lol we should meet up at orientation! Just wanted to as too did you just get your other bachelor's or has it been a few years like me haha

That is also my fear when it comes to commuting, traffic late study sessions I'll miss out on..So my thoughts are to stay near campus cause I'll freak out to miss all that lol just feel like we need to be on top of our game!

I graduated from the university of Rhode Island last May. How about you? I have a biology degree. Yeah it's crazy I am not sure what to do and how I will pay for food, rent, everything?! And I feel you with the missing out and staying close to campus. I did four years always from home and I would like to stay around home. But the commute is long. I have a big decision to make. I am trying to plan out my options and choices.

Oh wow good for you!! I actually graduated back in 2013 with an English degree but for the last 3 years I've been in the medical field with all different aspects. So many decisions for sure to be made but I am happy I'm not the only one worrying about all of this! Lol
