Do you still have time to drop the class? A W isn't a great grade either, but you're going to have to repeat the class anyway. Make certain that W's are ok for your program entry though.

I agree with caliotter3 some programs may or may not accept w's or certain grades for that matter. You must also see if they accept retakes too.
seems like you are having trouble. do you have a tutor program free on campus for writing help? Have you talked to your professor for help?

If that many in your class are struggling, it is likely the instructor. Personally, I would drop if your program allows and retake with a new instructor next semester... I always use Rate My Professor when selecting classes to avoid this type of thing.
before you drop, you might want to set an appointment to speak with the instructor. Maybe there is some confusion about what s/he expects vs what you're submitting. Also if your campus has a writing lab, I would take my essays there before submitting. They can make sure you're not making silly mistakes at the very least.

I think that there are a few things you can do: 1) Speak with your instructor, 2) Meet with folks in your tutoring/writing lab (your advisor should be able to help you out with that if you are not sure where to go), 3) Use every opportunity to practice your writing - including when you are posting in forums. You cannot get better at what you do not practice willfully and often. Start with your casual writing and your academic writing cannot help but get better.
Good luck.

Good day, reka2014:
Always (I cannot think of any exceptions) seek help after getting the first poor grade; don't wait until after two or more to seek help. Does your school have a learning center/tutoring area? Have you spoken with your professor?
Thank you.
thanks for the responses .. i have talked to him & he just tells me what to work on,etc.. i will see if theres help on campus , i havent been in a english class since high school 2011 so i know i need help on somethings..

It makes no difference if it is "the teacher". You are responsible to earn the grade. If you become a nurse you will work with doctors who are very difficult and hard to deal with. Oh well..you better learn how to succeed no matter what. Same with school. If a teacher is "difficult" then figure out what they want and do it. They may require double the study time as another. Oh well...DO IT.

What exactly is he telling you that you need to work on? I haven't taken ENG 101 in like 10 years but what types of papers are you supposed to be writing (persuasive, etc)?
