Failed 3 times and years expired in state

Published

Hey! I've failed the boards 3 times in my state (Louisiana). I recently called to see what I have to do to start the process again and take the boards. I finished school in February 2009. Since 4 years have gone by, I can not get a Louisiana license now. I have questions about what state I should apply to and how to go about it all. If anyone knows anything about this, I could totally use help!! Thanks!

you could try new mexico thats where my other friends go because they said it's unlimited. about the process you might want to ask someone who know more of it. good luck on your next exam :)

I live in Louisiana , I thought you have 4 chances to pass? You need to try Mississippi, they have 6 attempts

In New York you can do the NCLEX until you pass. I graduated in 2008 and I can take it many times until I pass it. Thank God.

I didn't realize that there was a time limit! Will you be able to use your New York license in Louisiana with an endorsement or have to move to New York?

I didn't know there was a time limit either! I was going to take it in Louisiana one more time (if I failed again then worry)...

In Louisiana you have 4x to take NCLEX within 4y years of your graduation date

I just enrolled in ncsbn which is a review website that suppose to have similar questions to nclex questions

In texas u can give unlimited time.....after every 45 days.

new mexico is unlimted, the number of tries is 5, but you two more tries!

That's great. What time frame 3, 5, 8 or 15 weeks you took? Happy Studying.
