Hi, I'm new to Allnurses and would like some advice: I failed third semester nursing school and cannot return to third semester either, but have option of applying to LVN at same school and then bridging over to third semester when LVN is completed. Does anyone know if other schools take a third semester student at this point instead of going the LVN route?(nothing against LVN's, by the way!)

Since most nursing schools vary in their programs I haven't heard of any taking in partially done nursing students and having them start where they left off in the new program. I have heard of some online options when your first year is done. In our program after your first year you can do a 3 day class and clinical rotation and sit for LPN boards. Then you can do the LPN-RN bridge.
Thank-you Mi Vida Loca! Looks like I have few options. I actually completed one full year of nursing school, as I had failed 3rd semester. What online classes do you suggest?
