[color=#009900] hello everyone,
this was the second time i took nclex but failed again, although i was really confident that i am going to pass this time, when i got back home i went through the notes and became even more confident that i got most of them correct. i want to know if there is any way i can see my actual exam or at least know what i have done wrong. i want to see question i got wrong. one more thing i want to mention, when i went to testing center and realized that i forgot my att at home. i asked the lady to let me use her computer and printer since i have att in my email and this would be easiest way to get it and she refused and said go home and get it, i told her that my home is almost 45 min. drive and test will be starting after 10 mins.and she said i am not allowed let you touch my computer without att. it took me almost an hours to come back to testing center and when i came back the lady said you are late and i won't let you to write the exam since she already filed a report saying that i did show up but i cried a lot and begged her to let me take the exam finally she allowed me to take the exam and my computer stopped at 75, i felt very confident that i got most of them right. i am not sure if my failing status has to do with the report that lady filed or something else.
i would really appreciate if anyone let me know how to find out what i have got wrong.
hi ssingh.. im so sorry to hear that.. but u have to remember.. that everything has a reason.. u may not know it now.. but soon..
i am now a RN (california) passed the nclex last 2003.. i am educated outside the US and thought I can never pass the test since I have no idea of Nursing in US.. besides.. I did nt have enough money to spend for a review.. so I studied on my own.. everything is a self study.. I read the fundamentals of nursing practice by Lippincott.. (version 6) i read that .. page by page.. and borrowed a kaplan book from my aunt who just passed the NCLEX.. with all the readings I did.. I also prayed.. luckily.. i passed the boards.. 75 questions in 45 minutes.. (after I left the testing area.. I thought I failed the test.. but did not lose hope and prayed a LOt.. after few days.. i got the congratulations letter..
always remember.......... there is always a rainbow after the rain. so cheer up! =)
I wonder that too, so if anyone that has taken the test is reading this and you studied with saunders did you feel like you were just memorizing??????????
Geena? I dont have my saunder book (3rd edition) yet, do you? If you do can you tell me what is in the chapters? Is it review or is it just questions???

AMY D-I retake the test in about a month. I am in Texas and we can retake it every 45-50 days so I jumped right back in after my January test. I have the Saunders 3rd edition book & it is alot of nursing content and then has questions for that subject after each chapter, then there is a comprehensive test at the back. I also have the KAPLAN Nclex-RN exam book 2005-2006 edition and it is ALL ABOUT STRATEGIES that can be helpful when answering the questions. I have read it once and going through it for my second time, you also get online access to additional questions when you buy the book. I figure anything helps!!
thanks for the heads up. I get my sauders book soon and I am going to look up the kaplan now. seems like throughout the boards these 2 are the most recommended! I also use the springhouse 3000 cd although it doesn't have the alternate questions i really like it!
AmyD in Ohio (ohio has no limit as to how many years you are out of school to take the nclex!!! ~~~thank goodness):roll
Hi Ssingh!
You had a very stressful experience before you were able to take the exam!
I know of a friend who forgot his ATT and was not allowed to take the exam considering he travelled far from the Philippines ( no NCLEX- RN testing center in the Philippines ) to Hongkong for the NCLEX. He did not forget his ATT to the hotel where he stayed in Hongkong but, he left it in the Philippines!
Like you, I'll be taking the NCLEX the second time. In a way. stressful also because I'll be taking the NCLEX this coming March in Guam with no hotel accomodation yet at this time. The three hotel packages being offered by the airlines for Filipino nurses scheduled to take the NCLEX in Guam are all fully booked on the date of my exam. With limited budget and no credit cards I cannot easily make reservations via the internet to the other hotels. Well ,I should have been discussing this to other thread ...... anyway, I know how you feel, remember, there is always time for everything. It is not always a failure.
God bless.

Hi Singh,
Hope that you are okay, as I said I too failed my 1st time, I started to study again and then I found this site because I wanted to see if anyone had went through what I went through, and many did. I then kept reading the threads and many people were talking about suzanne's study program and how they passed with her study program so I asked suzanne, but my point is to get you to start studying again start with the sticky call 1st study tip, I am a witness that I truly saw a difference when I went to answer questions I began to understand how to go through each question and breakdown each option. Then you must pm her give her you e-mail address tell her what study methods you use what programs you used also.
Good luck we can do it!!
Nclex 2/28/06 Here I come
Jesus Is Lord
Try not to stress out too much future RN, I have failed the nclex three times and i still have hope. just keep the faith and continue to study. next time you take it, just try to remain calm and put your att in your car the night before (maybe that will help). best wishes to you. good luck :)

And AmyD, yes I feel like I am memorising questions
- everytime I get the same question - instant hit, but ...am I learning? I am so worried that the exam Q's will be totally different - but so many are swearing by Saunders...
