You passed your nursing program, so shame on your mother for saying that. Just go and show her that you can do it, then leave her out of the equation. When someone tells you that you can't do something, that is usually more reason to prove them wrong.
Best of luck to you, and do not let her get you down. Very wrong of her.

You will never know how far you can fly until you spread your wings! Try again, and again and again and again. You get the point. Do not let anyone, and I mean anyone, tell you that you are dumb. You passed nursing school which is feat in its self. You didn't learn to walk on your first time trying, so why should the NCLEX be any different? Try again until you do. Good luck! Just because you pass on the first try, you must not give up. But, only try harder the next time. Do not be afraid to retake the exam, believe in yourself with positive thoughts and retake it. Despite the negative comments made, stay positive and good luck!

First to begin Congrats on finishing nursing school. Your nerves may have gotten the best of you on that day! Do not tell anyone that is negative towards you your next test date. Remember you know this stuff it may just be buried. Practice your questions daily and start telling yourself I will become a nurse, I will pass my exam on ________(date).
Good luck!

Sweetie don't mind your mother I failed my Nclex twice. I just passed 3/28/07 and I graduated in 2004. So if I can do it so can you. Now my problem is finding a job. But like always God will provide Keep your head up and go for the gold you can do it.
Best of Luck !!!!

Don't think twice about your mom (mine is worse than that) and you know what I do?? I ride by her house in my $50K truck and wave at her..haha....I'm kidding! But seriously...I had so many negative ppl around me and I kept my mind on what my goal was and I did it! You can do it too...never give up, I had a nurse who worked for me who failed her NCLEX 4 times and she is one of the best nurses I have ever known! Stay focused, stay positive and never ever think you are stupid!! Good Luck and keep us posted!

You're not the first or the last to have failed, and plenty of smart nurses have been in your shoes. Get out the tears, put a "kick me" sign on ur mom's back, and move on. You know exactly what you're up against now and you have that experience to help you next time! You passed ur program so you've got what it takes, keep that chin up!

You are not stupid because you got this far. Forget what your mother said, and concentrate on what areas you need to brush up on. I work with nurses that took the test several times and they are excellent nurses and are advancing in their careers. We would never have known they failed except they told us and we couldn't believe it. So go for it and believe in yourself.

Getting through the nursing program is an award all on it's own. So kudos to you for doing that. I agree with the other posters, don't let anyone break your spirits and tell you that you don't know anything just because you didn't pass on the first try. Just keep your head up and get back in there and take it again until you do pass. I wish you the best of luck.
thanks to all that responded to my thread and i will read them everyday untill i retake my exam. i am going to take a review class and go back and pass the exam. thanks again.
