Failed NCLEX RN 3x

Published

I have taken the nclex exam three times I have used Kaplan, hurst, Pearson vue content review, exam cram, priority questions , and mosby flash cards!!! I'm at a loss for what direction to take. I have researched for reviews and found sally lagerquist review online and a teacher of mine recommended Davis's nclex success 2E. If anyone has suggestions I would appreciate any advise. I would study 6 to 8 hours a day and before each time I took nclex I did approximately 3000?s so I've definitely put in the effort. Thank you for your time

Thank you for your support Lisahb13, I enrolled the Hurstreview last month but sometime I just dont feel trust myself when I think about retake the test. can you send me the link for Kaplan questions trainer test and NCLEX for 3500, and NCLEX 4000 for free, thank you.

Sally lagerquist is an online review during the review they go over content and they also do questions I find this to be helpful because instead of getting large amounts of content they link the questions into the content learning process hope this makes sense. The Davis book I recommend is the second addition you can find it at barnes and noble or online. And thank you to the sender about kims self review I have nclex 3500 and was wondering if the questions are difficult . Also you used a lot of resources and from what I understood is you completed it in 3 weeks how many questions total do you think you completed before taking it againcwhen you passed ? Thank you for your responses it's been helpful

Sflnac11 I too failed nclex 3x ( 86, 265, 99) the good news in your case is you haven't scored below the level of passing! This means in my opinion that you understand the content but the questions you have been using as a part of your study are not hard enough. Please if you have a barnes and noble store near by loom for the books Davis Q&A this book gives you difficult ?s and provides you with higher level questions there are approximate 5000 ?s in this book. Also I recommend la charity prioritization delegation book it has all the priority ?s you can imagine do all 18 chapter plus it has case studies gets you to critically think. I feel this is what you need to pass I think you are just having a hard rime like me to choose the best answer. This time I'm doing tons of questions since this is where i feel I need the moat help but again a lot of questions in books are ridiculously easy so I hope you find these books to give you challenging questions also one more resource is the ncsbn called learning extension this is an online review I used it but I didn't like reading a book online but... The nice thing is it has tons of questions I was too focused on a different review that I didn't complete the questions but I did find them challenging for $50 I had 3 week access so you determine how long you want the review for and it's fairly inexpensive compared to other reviews on the market hope this helps

Hey Sflnac11, do you want to study partners? Please let me know

Hi Luvnsg3.....I read your post, have you taken the nclex exam again or are you you still preparing?

Saunder's review is all I ever used - I went through the book and the CD.

Our school did had use the online NCSBN review during class as well, which was helpful.

Having to study for the HESI exit was the best preparation I could have gotten.
