don't know what i'm doing is rit or wrong!! donenearly 5000 questions,took nscbn 5week course,studied with saunders(4th edn),done Kaplan q bank(old one)...but still failed....feel like gud for nothing.but triying bring courage to take again.any help and advise is appreciated.
one more thing I have 2 naughty kids in home(5 and 2 yr),i'll tired by the end of the day.but still I do sit nit and study till morning 4am.I have my old books like saunders 4th edn,kaplan course book 11 edn,lippincotts,mosby's and even NSNA 's complete review for NCLEX-RN.planning to get a tutor.but don't know how much they charge.can't afford anymore books or anthing.
pls pls help me.greatly appreciated any study plan or books or advice....thank you in advance.

Anyway, I just wanted to tell you that my teacher suggested that we only need to use 2-3 books so we don't get confused. She recommends Saunders 4th or 5th Edition for content and the Q&A on cd that comes with it. On the CD, do the "Exam" mode not the study or quiz mode. Always do the rationale after you're done with the test. Hopefully this helps you. Goodluck to you.
You've got kids and you're staying up until 4:00 a.m. studying? When do you sleep? You realize sleep deprivation can make it impossible to be effective at anything, right? And I agree with the comment about your language skills. Tutoring in that area might be good because they may very well be holding you back. Frankly, reading what you've written here, it surprises me you graduated from nursing school. Did your charting and your papers read like your posts? Because if they did, your instructors did you a major disservice by passing you without requiring improved English skills. That will be critical once you start working.

What they have been trying to tell you, politely, is that you are barely making any sense in your posts. Sometimes, no sense at all. And they are wondering if this is affecting how you interpret the NCLEX questions; if you wrote papers and charted for your nursing program JUST the way you are writing here, it would be clear that your instructors DID do a disservice in passing you. Fluency and written competency in the English language is a minimum requirement.
If the post that I just quoted is any indication, it would explain pretty easily why you are having difficulty with the NCLEX.
I agree with PHXRN1 - if you can't write proper English, you have no business being a professional. Your grammar is horrendous. Learn to write and THEN consider a career as a nurse.
let me tell you...I have 4 kids range from 12 to 2 y/o...between their piano,band,karate school program I manage to study 3-6 hrs a day for 2 month religiously...
give your self time to grief not to long though...1 wk is enough...than brush it off...
back to study mode again...so you don't feel like start all over again..,
map your study plan like me I map out every day.I did hurst live review after that I schedule my self 2 chapter a day (master it) and do 50-100 Q's,when I finish with hurst lecture I schedule la charity 5 chapter a day (that already at least 120 Q') after I finish i repeat again till 3 wks b4 my test I did only Q's with goal 300 Q's a day...I took my 3rd attempted yesterday... And good pop up...
if you want it that bad...please don't give up keep pushing through...and pray a lot :))
