I'm a foreign graduate nurse,I have my RN and done my refresher course in summer 2015.Can I apply for this residency too..?what are the possibilities of getting?Please any info will be helpful. Also please tell about any other internship available in dallas area. Thanks in advance.

Hi Mike... Gud to hear that.Between when your classes starting and what is the duration(hrs)Theory+clinicals...? Even I found one near Dallas ,but they are asking for CPR certificate and Immunization, and TB- test results.I'm confused about the immunization, like can I take shots just in a clinic and get a note from them or is there a form that I need to take clinic to be filled by them...??? If you have any Info please tell me. Thanks. About CPR, I found many classes, I'll make it.

Hi.... CGFNS will review your case only after getting everything they need, and takes minimum 6 weeks. Please visit CGFNS.ORG, and they have given all the requirements to register to texas board of nursing. CGFNS International | Global Credibility | Credentials evaluation and professional development services that provide strategic value and direction to health care professionals worldwide. I will give few steps which I did to register (not for Texas),but almost same for every state. 1)register in CGFNS, they give you a candidate ID number 2)fill up application required for texas board(I think course by course credential evaluation) online. 3)pay the fee 4)print out the application for VOL and send to your state board of nursing in INDIA.(please make sure one of your family member go to BON,AND PAYTHE REQUIRED FEES, otherwise they will not send to CGFNS.) 5)Usually CGFNS will send a request for transcript to your college where you studied( not the university).again please send some one to pay the fees to college for the transcript, otherwise they will not send.. remember the college will send directly to CGFNS. 6)as you graduated in India, you need to take your TOEFL/IELTS. Take the exam and ask them to send A COPY to CGFNS. 7)keep checking with the CGFNS about your status, anyway they will send email as they receive a document. 8)CGFNS will prepare your credential report after receiving all the the documents. 9)send application to Texas BON. fulfill the requirements(finger prints, background check...etc. please visit Texas BON website for more details) https://www.bon.texas.gov/index.asp 10) Once everything is done you will get an approval letter from the BON to take NCLEX This is all I know...please some one correct if I'm wrong. I do not guarantee the process/steps I mentioned. This is what I did to get register as a foreign graduate almost 5-6 yrs ago.Hope this will help. Gud luck.

Me too looking for a RN-refresher course(I 'm foreign graduate),I live in Dallas area,I found 3 RN refresher course near by me, but I need to get many things like temporary permit ,etc to start my RN course. Please check your community colleges and hospitals, some times they offer RN refresher course. I found One in Collin county college and one in Methodist hospital.I'll give the link for your reference. Hi all, I'm foreign graduated nurse,(graduated before 2005) and passed my NCLEX -RN for MICHIGAN STATE.Recently I moved to Texas so I want to endorse my license to Texas. I have some questions :- 1)Do I have to do my RN- Refresher course ..?If yes where..? in Michigan or Texas? 2)do I need SSN to do this course,b'z I dodn't have that number...! 3) how long it will take for endorsement ( duration)..? 4)What is the chances of getting job in Texas for person like me who's out of the nursing field more than10 yrs...? I welcome any advice about course,job ...etc. Thank you in advance.

Do you passed the NCLEX-RN EXAM..? I think its asking for your RN.Please call CGFNS to clarify,They told me once( long back),I have to pass my RN to finish VISA SCREEN. Gud luck!

Thanks lasynka .whatever you said is correct,those people commented on my post and bad english are really non-therapeutic .Its really surprising to know that such people are called to be nurses in USA.I stopped commenting on this post b'z when people like those are here to discourage you should ignore them.anyway thanks for understanding me.I'mon my way and I'll do it.100% I'm a gud nurse and I will be a proud nurse.Pray for me.
