I took my first exam last month which was Repro. I received a B. I moved on to LS1 and tested today and received a D. I'm extremely disappointed in myself.*Nevertheless I need some advice. Should I move on to LS2 or continue to review for LS1 until I'm eligible to test again? 60 days seems like a long time to wait.My failure is completely my fault. I was too cocky after passing Repro with a B which is my least comfortable subject.

Sorry to hear that. It's a lot of information on one test. That's a hard question. If you think you need 60 more days to study for it then I would say just keep studying ls1 while the test and information are still fresh in your mind. Or if you feel burned out on it switch to something else and come back with a fresh state of mind. Either way good luck. I am Studying for ls1 right now. What resources did you use? Or do you feel like you just didn't spend enough time?
I used the practice exams, Saunders and a book from distance learning systems.

I did the same thing with LS 2 and got a D and worse yet went on to take LS3 and got a D there too. I totally changed the way I studied, got the books Excelsior recommends, read them, took notes and made flashcards. I used flashcardexchange.com they are great. Passed both the second time around and working on my CPNE now. I have to admit I just used Saunders, the Practice Exams and other material but when it comes to the Lifespan Series you really need to print off the content guide and get the recommended books-I used a few editions back and got them cheap less than $10 each on Amazon. Hope this helps-Good Luck!!!

Sorry about your failure but i would recommend you stick with LS1 for the next 60 days. I usually read the med-surg text, take notes and make sure to read them over and highlight. I used sg101 for the questions along with saunders and most definitely do the practice exams. I took that exam and score a B on first try. I usually study for 2-3months before i sit an exam to make sure i can pass it. Flashcardexchange.com is very good also but these are used as supplement after i finish my reading. Good Luck!

I would keep studying for LS1, I am moving onto LS right now and that test seems much more complex to me. I was fine with LS1 because resp and cardio are my 2 stregths. LS2 is psych and endocrine...blagh!! I am making flashcards and taking notes using the books EC recommends. Good luck in your studies!!! You'll do fine next time around. Just go chapeter my chapter and know your dignosis and interventions/meds
