Failed 2 Fundamentals tests - HELP!

Published

First test I did fine. Now the 2nd and 3rd I've missed 8 out of 15 and 7 out of 15. I know the material pretty well and I study quite a bit, but it's the critical thinking, I guess, that I'm lacking. Some of the questions I can see where I didn't think it through well enough. Others, to me, seem like a matter of opinion and could go either way, though it is my faulty thinking. I've scheduled a meeting with the instructor for Thurs, which is what they told us to do if we are struggling. Other than that, does anyone have any advice for me? I got all As through the prereqs and I knew this would be a different game but never thought I'd FAIL like this!

Bec717 - awwww thank you. I wasn't feeling too smart for the past 2 weeks.

Congratulations on your A. I am notorious for second guessing my answers, but I am trying not to change them now. The only time I change my answers is when I realize that I mistakenly filled in the wrong letter on the scantron.

:ancong!: on your A...I'm glad to see our advice worked!!

I would love it if anyone could help me pass the fundamentals class with perry and potter book,. i have made a 68 on the first two test and have to make a 90 on the third one to be able to continue on

Honestly when the situation is that dire...you should really meet with your professor. If you show that you really want help, they will be there for you. If you see them the day before the exam they might not take you seriously. Good Luck! Take a look at Fundamentals Success by Fa Davis...no matter what book you are using for class this inexpensive book will most likely help you with test questions...if you know the content

You should definitely meet with your prof asap. I did after the 2nd failed test and it made all the difference. One of the biggest things for me was putting in the time - and I mean hours and hours of study on the weekends. That way I knew the material throughly. Rewriting important parts. Writing down *everything* the prof says in lecture and concentrating study on those. And tons of practice questions that correspond with the chapter, i.e. the Success book mentioned above. Go see your professor!

When you read the text book, pay attention to charts and dont be afraid to meet with the instructor for help.

Hi, I would like to know if you can advise me on the same topic you had when you were in nursing school. I'm currently in the same situation :/
