I graduated RN school in may 2010. Right out of school I got a job at a private psych hospital, working on their locked dual diagnosis unit. It was a 26 bed unit with two RNs and 4 MHAs. The work was hard (alot of people acutely detoxing) and the pay with low. So excited to be starting a new job on Monday, on a 31 bed psych unit. The pay is great, 34$ per hr, the nurse manager is a sweet heart, and even better the RN-to-pt ratio is 1:5. Can't wait to start!
