Excelsior Paramedic track ADN-RN

Nursing Students Excelsior

Updated:   Published

Hey y'all. I just got into the RN program after passing my TEAS. I am thrilled to start!

Are there any other Paramedics out there that have or are currently doing the online program? I'd love to hear how you felt it went overall, especially with the CPNE.

Thanks!

Promise to post when you pass the NCLEX? Pretty please ?. Also it's against our rules to have RN in your name until you actually passed the boards.

Graduated from EC. I'll be writing my NCLEX in a couple of weeks. I'll let you know when I pass.

Thanks for believing in me.

has anyone taken nur108 yet? If so how was the midterm and final? so far the quizzes have been easy.

I passed the NCLEX last year and have been an RN for a year now. I also upgraded and got my BSN. I was also accepted to UTA for the MSN-FNP program.

Calm down. That's what the program has taught me so far, and several others have expressed that as well.

Go find something else to be outraged over and quit wasting my time.

Well EC is considered somewhat of a joke for the poor quality of the education they provide. Many states California being one will not issue you and Authorization to test.  If they are truly teaching you that nurses are not expected to critically think every day, several times a day then this is not a program you should be in. Your comments are condescending. How would you feel if I said that paramedics were just scoop and run gurney jockey's you'd likely be upset as well, BTW this does not actually reflect how I feel about paramedics. You all have some mad skills, but you have to understand that the vast majority of RNs also have mad skills.

Fortunately the nursing license doesn't say Excelsior graduate on it.  And even if it did I would be proud because I know how hard it was to get through the program. I know how the board of nursing is in my state, Pennsylvania, and if Excelsior didn't meet certain requirements then there was no way in hell they were going to give me the authorization to test letter for the NCLEX-RN, which was passed on the first attempt, unlike the poor girl that was in the PearsonVue center at the same time who was on her 5th time taking and she went to a traditional brick and mortar nursing school.
