So I just took practice exam A and got a 49.... ... I am really worried about this test and have been studying for about 2 months. I have study group 101 notes and I have the recommended text book. If anyone has any advice on studying or how they felt about the practice exam vs the real test please let me know! I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks in advance

I think (it's been about a year) that I made a 45 on practice test A and a 55 on test B. Made a B on the real exam.
It was a tough one.
Thanks! I guess that makes me feel a little better. It would kill me if I fail the real thing after paying all that money. Micro is the only prerequisite I have to take thank goodness! How were the rest of the exams for nursing? Are they equally as hard?
Transitions was as hard as micro, then the next six were pretty easy and the last one, LS3, was the hardest of them all.

I have been studying Micro for two months. Did education portal and don't feel very comfortable with this subject. Not sure how in-depth this test is going to be. Have not registered for it yet either. Trying to understand the subject before committing to a test date. It's a bit overwhelming. This will be my first EC test.
Have you taken an EC practice exam yet? I highly recommend those as a way to see where you're at with the subject and as a study tool. The rationales for the answers are very helpful.
No I have not, where can I get a practice test?

I took this exam May 22nd. I think I got a 42% on practice exam A and, 46% on practice exam B. I didn't use the textbook much, just primarily SG 101. I focused my attention on the areas of the exam that I did the poorest on in regard to the practice exams. I studied for a good 2 months, and managed to get a B on the exam. Get those practice exams! They really, really help you to focus your studies.

I also have to complete Micro and reading your post caused me a little anxiety.... Lol.
I have to repeat A&P because it's been over five years. After I complete theses two courses I will be finished with all my General Education courses.
Best of luck to you all
This will be my first test as well. I have taken micro before but it has expired. The practice test A I took was much more in depth than I thought it would be. I did very well in micro previously but this is a bit harder. Good luck! I plan on taking the test in December so I will give an update on how bad it really is lol!
OK so after lots of procrastination I finally took the micro exam and passed with a B!! Couldn't believe it. I will say the practice exams helped tremendously. Without them I probably would have failed it. I looked over both exams in which in made a 49 and 48 on and went through each individual question and why I missed it and then typed my own study guide out of topics (definitions of things i didn't know to cellular processes) that I missed and put into terms I understood. My own study guide I made ended up being 13 pages long. I took 3 days before the test and studied hard core for at least 3 hours at a time through the day at least twice. I even went to bed looking over it. Trust me invest in those practice exams! That $70 saved me! Good Luck to everyone that still has to take it!
