Is anyone here a graduate of Excelsior college living in Georgia? If so, are you having a hard time having employers hire you because its an online degree?

One of our site's moderators (Pixie.RN) is an Excelsior-educated RN who has been in Georgia for several years and has had her pick of desirable nursing jobs.

I have never had a problem getting a job in Georgia, but I came to Georgia with several years of ER experience. But I do know EC grads personally who were hired without problems in the Savannah area right after transitioning from LPN to RN.
I think the bigger struggle these days is just being hired as a new grad.

2010 ASN-EC grad, 2014 BSN-EC grad. No problems whatsoever with employers. In fact, there were 4 of us graduating at the same time and the only thing that changed afterwards was our pay. The only major issue that a couple of them experienced was in the ability to go into a new facility as agency nurses without that 1-2 years of paid RN hours under their belts. So, they just continued on in the facilities in which they once accepted assignments as LPNs...but as RNs.

I just received my conferral date Jan 20,2017.
I am trying to decide is it worth completing 350hrs preceptorship hrs in Ga or just testing in another state. I have worked the last 13 years as a Lpn in dialysis And would like to remain in dialysis. If I do the hours it's like a full time job. Any suggestions? I'm leaning toward testing out of state. I have also talk to GBON on several different occasions. What did you do to get license in ga?
