  2. Congratulations on your success so far. Studying for Cpne does take away from your life and family life. You have come so far and you cannot let any thing or anyone distract you. I was once you in Dec 2016. I gave myself a motivation speech " My family will have me back once I pass and I need to focus on me at this time and I'm doing this for us and if I fail we all fail " You got this. I passed Dec 2016 but have to pass boards. Good luck
  3. Graduated excelsior January 2017. I have taken states twice since graduated and failed both times. I Have been a dialysis nurse for 14 years, i have also done LTC, HOSPITALS, Case management and group homes. I recently left dialysis and has been working in LTC. My question is once passing boards is it possible that I want have to complete 320 preceptorship hours since I will have worked over 320 hours as an LPN. Curious to know what recent or pass graduates have done who needed to complete preceptor hours?
  4. I just received my conferral date Jan 20,2017. I am trying to decide is it worth completing 350hrs preceptorship hrs in Ga or just testing in another state. I have worked the last 13 years as a Lpn in dialysis And would like to remain in dialysis. If I do the hours it's like a full time job. Any suggestions? I'm leaning toward testing out of state. I have also talk to GBON on several different occasions. What did you do to get license in ga?
  5. I am a recent nursing graduate of Excelsior college. I would like to here from recent graduates on how and what you did to get license in Georgia. I am an Lpn with 13 years of dialysis experience , only a year in long-term and a year in hospital several years ago. Trying to decide should I waste time with 350 hrs preceptorship or should I just test in another state and work weekends or just work at a Va hospital . Or just submit application and see I pick up and not have to complete the hours. I really would like to continue in dialysis and Stay with my current company. Any feedback would be helpful Any suggestions?
