a normal class you would take at a community college or even the clep would provide you with 3 credit hours. excelsior only requires 2 hours in each subject. so in the end you will end up with 2 credit hours more than you need . which is good because if you transfer these hours most colleges require the 3 hour courses in order to transfer.
question, if my summary says i need2.0 hours in life span
2.0 hours in sociology
does that mean i need both classes? i am confused cause when you look those classes up they are worth 3.0 hours. thanks.

Hi everyone,
I see a lot of questions about EC General Ed. requirements.
You need 31 general Ed credits.I had none,so I needed them all!
Here is what I am taking:
Social Sciences:
1. Intro to psychology (clep) 3 hrs.
2. Life Span psychology (EC) 3 hrs.
3. Abnormal psychology (EC) 3 hrs.
4. Intro to sociology (clep) 3 hrs.
Natural Sciences:
5. Anatomy & Physiology (EC) 6 hrs.
6. Microbiology (EC) 3 hrs.
All of my NC Tests.1,3,4,5,6,7
English/Humanities:
7.English Composition (EC) 6 hrs.
8.Ethics (EC) 3 hrs.
Info Literacy (EC) 1 hr.
Total of 31 credits. Now this is for the ASN.You may want to take other exams other than these, but this gives you a good idea of what you could take to achieve 31 credits.I think you can take a clep in place of EC's lifespan(I found that out after the fact!)
This is the order in which I am taking these as well.Except I will probably mix the NC exams up a bit! Hope this helps!
